The air is filled with electricity as we await the pleadings of the perp in the courtroom. Innocent or guilty? We can almost feel the undercurrents.
However, first we must ask the important question of the day:
Where were the parents?

Did not know that copper wire had a living life. What a headline. Wonder what 3rd grader wrote it. Anything to save Gannett a couple bucks

So Darwin missed one but the cops caught him anyway.

im confused. why is the OLDS being charged with manslaughter? did he kill him, or did the electrical wire kill him bc he was being stupid and tryin to steal something? i dont know...

Maybe I missed something, but the man who actually touched the copper wires (essential committing suicide) is somehow not responsible for his own death? Did the survivor make him touch the wires? If not, how can he be charged with murder? He's apparently a criminal but shouldn't the crime fit the bill? Or is charging him with a greater crime and locking him behind bars for many years just another tactic to justify the raising of our income taxes?

This is so confusing to me. Why is he being being charged with manslaughter?

There was a typo on the list of charges.
Not Manslaughter but man's laughter They were having too much fun. |

My guess it they are charging him under some felony murder charge. Essentiall, if someone dies while you are committing a felony, even if you didn't "technically" kill them, you can be charged with their death. The classic example is someone robs a convenience store. A patron is so scared by the robber that he has a heart attack and dies. The robber is charged with robbery of the store and with murder of the patron. Here's more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felony_murder |

What a couple of losers, well, one loser and one guy who took the dirt nap. To bad there are not more deaths of criminals while they are breaking the law. What did the older one do, tell the other dude "Hey, it is ok to stand in that bucket of water while you steal this copper".

FYI - Just in case anyone cares - THERE IS NO COPPER IN ELECTRICAL LINES. Hopefully, that prevents another one.

Oh, Adobe accusing ME of not giving a Helvetica about THEIR Bold Eras. I don't Courier what you think. I'm not that typeface of a person, you WingDings. |

1 I just hate it when copper wire or pipe has to be needlessly killed just so some greedy sumb*tch can recover and melt it down. Hopefully the other guy gets to fry |

Our judicial system is getting worse and worse, I agree with "slow day". The man didn't kill him, they were stealing together. Some of the laws on the book need to be reviewed because this is rediculous. They are going to accuse a theif of manslaughter. Utterly rediculous. I hope his family gets a great attorney.

Oh, okay. That's very interesting. I would still argue that these two guys were both committing a crime and one happened to get killed while in the act. As an example, if two people were robbing a store and one held the gun during the crime accidently shot and killed himself, his accomplice would be charged with murder? I could see if there was something the survivor did to aid in his accomplice's death but they were both willing participants in the crime and, therefore, should be held accountable for their own actions. It's unfortunate that this time it was death. |

Hey, I checked out the web site and it seemed that in every case described, an innocent person was killed and not the criminal. This one may be a stretch for the prosecutor. |

Thou shalt not Copper, either!!! |
