I am gald the police caight this little punk. As the parent of a child that attends the scool, if I would have caught him I would have hit him over the head with a bat and broken a few bones. You don't mess with kids or violate their sense of security. School is a sanctuary and the parents of Sacred Heart try to keep it as such. Great job by the police department - now if the parents could take turns whipping this kid with a cane

Apparently, "scool" didn't do you any good. You've forfeited your right to have your opinion count as anything due to your own ignorance. Kettle-pot-black.

Someday, when each of you is over the age of 18, and in jail or prison, somebody is going to beat the crap out of you and nobody will give a damn. I'd love to read about THAT!

lay off the kid, he made a mistake; and the fact that you would "beat him senseless if you had the chance" makes you look like a bigger fool than him.

The link to the story no longer works so forgive me if there are some details which I’m not aware of that would impact what I’m about to say.

(Climbing up onto soapbox)

No matter what the kid did, calling it a "hate crime" is a useless political label to appear as being "tough on crime." Hate crime laws punish you for what you believe, which is diametrically opposed to the principles this nation was founded under. Laws should punish acts, not thoughts.

We already had appropriate laws to punish acts, such as harassment, assault and murder. In this case, trespass and vandalism come to mind.

A white man kills a black man. Does it really matter if the killer hated blacks when he killed the black man? Would it be better if he killed the man for his wallet, or for having an affair with his wife, or for the man's sneakers?

The crime is the act of killing, and the reason(s) really don’t matter. I know some will say that the survivors have a right to know for closure, but there are very few instances where a killing would be understandable or justified to the survivors, and the other reasons would give little closure.

Just saying (stepping down from soapbox).
