How can one listen to the Westchester Republican Party? Chair Doug Colety backed Democrat Paul Wasserman originally to challenge Lowey! I believe the comments about Mr. Russell are smears -- just as Lowey smeared her opponent Joe DioGuardi in his '88 campaign to unseat Lowey. Jim Russell nor Joe DioGuardi were ever charged or fined for any irregularities. Nita Lowey was the only one charged and fined $3500.00 for campaign finance irregularities. Doug Colety would disavow a sandwich if it didn't cut the mustard. If a candidate has never been charged or arrested for anything than any statements against him MUST be a smear and dirty pool.

Jim Russell is not a career politician. Nita Lowey is 72-years-old. She is the 19th wealthiest person in Congress. We need someone who is representative of the majority working families in Westchester and who is affected by the economy as most of Westchester is. Lowey isn't affected by this economic depression.
