No. For real, yo? Pretty close to fledgling. They looked like they could flutter to a safe place. That's good thing. Nothing like a safe dive in the bush.

He sounds a little too, ummmm, A R A B. Why get excited about a contest when the best he could hope for is a slot as celebrity guest Muezzin. It's a small miracle he's still alive after partying and blaspheming, and forgetting the cause.
So now we have American like TV shows and fame and unfortune. Uh, where's the cause? I like it. Never too late to bring civilization to the barbarians. Can you feel my love?

Not Afghanistan...you slay me.

I understand a bit about Palestinians. Take, for instance, all the Guinness Book records, UNESCO World Heritage site applications and an Arab Idol winner, let alone just a contestant. Recording the word "Palestine" next to the Church of the Nativity in UN records was quite a coup considering no such place exists. Now there is a Palestinian Idol...and that makes everyone who worships him a heretic but that's OK. When you're struggling for an identity even bad press is good press.

I know you don't gamble but if you were a betting man how much would you wager that the guy who does his hair is gay?

You're just tickled because there is an Islamist somewhere just aching to martyr the sitting Arab Idol. Everyone interprets the Prophet (PBUH) in their own way and someone is gluing glitter to an IED for this kid...believe it. Nothing brings a sinner back to Allah faster than introducing his insides to the outside.

Just because Palestine is occupied doesn't mean it doesn't exist, and that we're "struggling for an identity".
And how is it bad press?

A lot. Lebanese hairstylists (or at least the ones you see on TV) are known for their flamboyant appearances. Being gay is almost a stereotype for them.

Doubt it. If Islamists really cared about singers there wouldn't be a singer in the Arab world whose insides are still insides.

Actually I've been back for a while. I posted a video of some Syrian rebels slaughtering and decapitating a young man. I guess such atrocities don't interest you, unless cannibalism is involved.

Missed it. But, I thought that shooting a 15 yr old in the mouth in front of his parents was an abomination and typical of radical Islam. Arming that trash is a big mistake.

We've been through this before. There is not now nor has there ever been a nation of Palestine. There is a place in the record books where some people build the world's largest knafeh but there is no nation to celebrate this acheivement. Further, there remains a very good chance that by unifying and demonstrating a shared national perspective, Palestinian Arabs will announce the beginning and end of the national project on the same day.

Flamboyant? It's typical, not stereotypical.

I know. I read that story. This is expected when you bring people who are not Syrian and who don't give a crap about the Syrian people to fight a war that has nothing to do with them. These people fight for an ideology, not democracy, which was the main demand for the Syrian people when their uprising began.

I wasn't thinking it would be a fatwa or any organized effort. I just see potential for someone to be offended by a jihad-aged boy whose idea of taking up the struggle is to sing rather than fight.(plus, he has "product" in his hair)

Fascinating that Africans flock to the Apartheid center of the ME. You don't see them going anywhere else. Hey, Steel Plate Gaye, why is that?

>Though the physical conditions at the Israeli detention camp appear harsh, large numbers of refugees face much worse around the region.

Most of the 55,000 African migrants who made it to Israel over the past decade claim they were escaping forced, open-ended conscription in Eritrea or war in Sudan.<

Just trolling.

“Well I guess it would be nice
If I could touch your body
I know not everybody
Has got a body like you, mmm

But I've got to think twice
Before I give my heart away
And I know all the games you play
Because I play them too”

Peace ... piece by piece..(VOP's way..!!)

I hope anytime soon CNN, NBC and of course ..FOX, will have the chance to run a piece about a Syrian family of nine .. that indirectly did business with a kibbutz (agriculture technology shit). They fled Syria, took refuge in Turkey ... and with the intervention of Shimon .... that is, Shimon Peres, they were flown to Ben Gurion Airport.

For the last three weeks ... and until it will be safe to go back home, the Syrian family enjoy the hospitality of their suppliers..

It can get veeery confusing...
... the smoke and dust in the battle ground, makes it difficult to discern ... where are the friends and who is the enemy ...

Welcome..!!
Feel secure, relaxed .... and enjoy your stay.

I pray for that day when I will drive my nine years old Mazda to downtown Damascus ..for some shopping, dinner and perhaps a most needed paint job to the Japanese old b!tch..

Nice. I wish the act would impress someone on the other side but there are so many refugees that a family of nine could be disappeared quite easily. I hope their pause in Israel doesn't come back to haunt them. In Gaza, they'd be named collaborators and shot.

Someone who is Palestinian? Unlikely. This Assaf kid has been singing for years at weddings in the Gaza strip. Trust me, no one will touch him.

Tell you what, I'll take your word for this kid's safety but if you're trying to sell me on the idea that there's no one in the Palestinian Territories sick enough to kill him on religious grounds I'm not buying it. Case in point...those Salafist mofuggers who got a slapdown from Hamas when they insinuated that they weren't Islamic enough. They lost some men in the shootout at the Sheik's house but there's still a crowd of them running around honor killing their women.
