This shouldn't be a place to argue about how dangerous Keystone is, or how talented of a skier Kenneth was. Regardless of these things, an amazing son, brother, and friend is now dead, and so many lives have been changed forever. It would be appreciated by the Joyce family if you would put these things aside and say a prayer for Kenneth. Rest in peace, we all love and miss you so much.

i couldnt believe it when i heard the news, and it still hasnt hit me fully. i keep thinking hes gonna be at school on monday, but he won't be. He was funny and really nice and of all the people this could have happened to, hes the least deserving and he was a really good skiier and this is horrible and everybody i know is shocked and upset by this. he was in my core and there will always be a noticeable absence.

Bob Jones, for you to even suggest that his death was his own fault is very heartless of you. No one wants to hear anything like that especially when a 13 year old has died. Comments like that are not welcome. Keep those comments in Colorado. The Courant is a Connecticut newspaper.
Rest in peace Kenneth. Dr. Joyce, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.
You have no idea what it was like that day Keystone. I was there and I was praying for the child with many of the other skiers in hopes that he would wake up.

I will never forget the sadness that I've seen from his brother and mother that day. It is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life and appreciate even more of the life god has given us and how quickly he can take it away as well.

If you don't like my comments, then tough. Deal with it.

kenny, things wont be the same. you were one of the nicest kids i had ever met. just knowing you wont be sitting behind me in math class on monday brings tears to my eyes. this is such a loss to the school and town. you will never be forgotten. and for all of the Joyces, you are in everybody's prayers. this is a tragic loss that no one should have to experience. losing a football player, lacrosse player, a friend, and a fellow classmate is too much to handle. may god be with you through this horrible time.
rest in peace kenneth joyce, i love you always.

kenny was in two of my classes and he was a really great kid he had the most gorgeous blue eyes and was nice to everyone. he had had everything going for him, the looks, he was a football and lacrosse star, he had the brains -stright A student- and his smile could truly lightup a room. i remember in the class he was in with me whenever we were takin a test, he would be done in just 15 minutes while the rest of the class did not finish in the whole 45 minutes period. And oh my he certainly had a fan club. He was an alla round amazind kid and our school is not going to get over this for a very long time. "Only the good die young..." we love you so much kenny <333

I didn't know Kenneth all that well, but he was in a few of my classes he was always nice and caring to everyone I wish I had gotten to know him better, even though it's not fair because he didn't deserve to go this young and he was such nice person but God only takes the best, my prayers are with him and his family and friends.

To the Joyces:

I am so so sorry. Even though I do not know your family, I cried and cried as a parent. Why does it take such a tragedy for me to TRULY appreciate my sons? You're son sounded like a wonderful young man.
All these kids writing in obviously loved him even more than they realized. That is great testimony. I pray for you ALL. Once again I am sorry.

When I heard about this, I couldn't believe it. He died at the age of 13. He didn't even get to live his whole life. And he was such a great kid. Why is it that such a good person had to die? He's really taught me to live life to the fullest, love everyone around you, and cherish every moment you've got. You never know when you could lose everything. Kenny left this world on Tuesday, February 19 and will remembered by all. He left this world surrounded by people who loved and cared him. God bless him, his family, and his friends. We love you and miss you Kenny.
