Sandy Hook: Compare with the Bizilj tragedy

In both cases you have sane, normal adults who put guns into the hands of minors.
Good judgement cannot be legislated. Dr. Bizilj tried to pin it on the owner of the gun club.
Doctors are our first line of defense against such tragedies but many times they have bad judgment, or are addicted or mentally ill themselves. Under no circumstances should a mentally ill, drug-addicted doctor be allowed to write an involuntary commitment order.
We need to test all doctor's urine. Right now, air-traffic controllers and pilots immediately lose their privileges if they are found impaired.
Not so with doctors. Their buddies protect them and until they botch surgery they are ignored.
Nonetheless, we should probaby ban assault weapons.
But we need to monitor doctor and parents also.
