What is productive about insurance companies?
They provide a mechanism for sharing risk. At least that is what they do for most insurance classes.

In the medical field, they have become administrators for pre-paid medical care.

The risk-sharing model is better.

Why don't you losers just eliminate the productive people in society and feed off the bones....until you starve?
Lord Obama so loves the poor that he is working hard to create more of them.
Why do you Repubs insist that America become a nation of the Elites and the peasants?

People won't be going to jail. If they can prove they cannot afford it, they will get a subsidy. You have to provide proof of insurance with your tax return, or pay the fine of $695.
What if you just refuse to pay?

Question: Are senior citizens on Medicare required to have supplemental insurance?

More government subsidies.

Just what we need.

Buy the way did you know even with Obamacare 28 million people will still not have insurance by 2019?
The reports just keep pouring in. This bill will do horrible damage to the economy and health care services in this country.
Very few Doctors are now self employed in their own practice. What you predict will never happen as all new Doctors join groups or hospitals.

I don't know what happens; perhaps it will come out of a persons tax return? I don't think Medicare recipients need supplemental insurance.

Oh, someone will close that gap; many new Urgi Care centers are already operating, more will open.
Hey, I'm not in favor a mandate to buy insurance from a for profit business either. I think, and hope, that this dreadful compromise will lead the way to what it should have been from the beginning;
single payer healthcare paid through taxation and not attached to employment. This is the best way to do it; it takes the onus off of the employer and everyone is covered. Open up Medicare to all. Eliminate the insurance company mafia altogether. No deductibles, no co pays, no restrictions.
Imagine that?

JERUSALEM -- Israel has partially lifted a gag order over the investigation into the death of an Australian-Israeli man in an Israeli prison two years ago. The probe rules that the man known as "Prisoner X" hung himself.

The story has dominated headlines in Israel for the past week. According to Australian media, the man, identified as Ben Zygier, worked for Israel's Mossad spy agency and was mysteriously imprisoned by Israel in 2010 for unspecified security offenses.

Israel kept the case under wraps for more than two years, acknowledging it last week only 24 hours after Australian ABC broke the story.

According to the new information released Tuesday, Israel concluded the prisoner killed himself on Dec. 15, 2010, by hanging himself with a bed sheet from the bathroom window in his cell.

Wrong!

'federal subsidies for insurance available only through those exchanges set up by the states themselves. So, while the federal government has the power to create exchanges in the states that refuse to do so, it cannot offer subsidies through federally run exchanges.
Moreover, it is those subsidies that actually trigger the penalty under Obamacare for employers who fail to provide workers with insurance. Obamacare requires employers with 50 or more workers to provide health insurance or pay a tax, but only if at least one employee qualifies for subsidies under the exchange. Therefore, if subsidies can only be provided by state-authorized exchanges, a state potentially could block the employer mandate altogether , simply by refusing to establish the exchange.
The Obama administration and the IRS, unsurprisingly, have claimed they have the right unilaterally rewrite the law, yet again, to close this loophole. But, at the very least, this would be open to legal challenge. And perhaps the next time the Supreme Court will get it right.

There is no deduction for doctors under the ACA.

Look, Flack, I don't know where you get your information but it is typically wrong.

Just like your mandate comment. The mandate is enforceable regardless if the states or the feds set up the exchanges.

America is already a nation of producers and moochers.

The only "elites" are our masters in government, or so they seem to believe.

Lord Obama so loved the poor that he created more of them.
