Let's see, how much money could be made selling this amount of smack to the local junky's and what political influence could the new and imporved Ghetto Brothers (AKA Solidos) buy from the mayor for this?

It simply can't be however, remember the gospel of Perez! Cime is down! The positive spin of Eddie his chronies and Hartford simply :swirls" within the minds of the CT citizens. Didn't you know that?

Great job Hartford Police. Thank you. And I hope she goes to prison for a LONG time. Heroin is ruining this state and many people's lives. Kids in the suburbs are getting hooked and stealing to support their habit.

This person should get a darwin award for drug dealing... 527 bags of heroin in plain view!?!? If all the criminals in this city were so stupid, there could be a chance of that "star" finally "rising."

Yes, HPD did a wonderful job! Now, can they instill some of the professionalism and moral compass into their infamous leader, Lord Perez? That's the REAL challenge here. More so, I would guess, than even policing the streets! At least criminals can be restrained and detained. Eddie's nonesense continues unabated...

One dealer at a time. Good job HPD. Heroin is the king of drugs, it takes a tough person to get off it. I think there needs to be more drug information in school though. Yes they hear of this and that but maybe an assemble etc. maybe lets stop before the kids even use. Something needs to be done.

Anyone else curious about the HPD Police Log? last one posted was for 7/10/08 and it had a total of 76 arrests with 8 for weapons/weapons related crimes. One of these weapons charges was for the Sale of Weapons to (illegal) aliens!

Check out the "Gospel of Perez" for yourself and see "how far" (Pun intended) crime has really "decreased" in Hartford: http://hartford.gov/police/

Well, his history speaks LOUDLY for itself: http://www.smso.net/Eddie_Perez_ (politician)

Interesting, in an interview with CNN he admits - and almost BRAGS - about the violence of Hartford. Stating that when he speaks/visits prisons, he sees many of his friends and that even more died as teens due to gang violence and drug overdoses ( http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/Northeast/01/03/ha... .

In another interview, he explained how "safe" being a gang member made him feel as well as how much he enjoyed the feeling of "control" as a member of the same: "As Pérez recalled in an interview with El Extra News, "My involvement with the youth gang the Ghetto Brothers responded in those times to a search for a peer group and personal protection in areas where there was a lot of violence. In those times the hold on drug trafficking by the gangs was minimal and in my case, my participation responded more to the sense of control and territorial security, and I gained a sense of belonging." ( http://biography.jrank.org/pages/3187/P-rez-E... )

So, yes, he may very well be defending those for which he sees "like himself".

So when we all see his talking points memo regarding the "Gospel of Perez" and "Need to Spin a Favorable" view of himself and the city - who is to beleive this person?

Crime runs unchecked and rampant un Hartford - NOT because of HPD but because of the administration's refusla to admit and confront it. Social gathering's in the park, as an entertainment venure, are not productive or insightful.

And she'll plead "not guilty." And some jury will buy whatever her lame defense is going to be & the Courant will write a story on how she's been victimized by society.

NO NO NO NO NO,

This can't be right, I thought the drug problem was caused by the burb people....not the "outstanding" citizens in that insane asylym known as Hartford. Must have been burb people the police arrested, making a realy big buy.

I tip my hat to the HPD, they got it right when they made this arrest.

Since when does HPD do traffic stops?

There was a time in our history when we didn't have these problems. There were no street drug dealers. No drug gangs. There wasn't even any drug-related crime (except for alcohol.) There were addicts - about the same percentage as today -- but they weren't criminals and did not commit crimes to support their habits.

Then, in one year, the modern problems arose from a single cause. One year we did not have drug crime, and the next year we did. There was something specific that started these problems, and they have been getting worse ever since.

Anyone who is interested can read the full story in the first nine chapters at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/Library/studi...

HPD Thanks! Keep it up! People are noticing...and looking for some more GOOD news about Hartford. Let's have some more honest arrests so we can feel happy and optimistic again about our Capitol of CT.
P.S. People ....please vote OUT the tax raisers ASAP. Too many businesses are leaving for less taxes and more safety in other states. Makes sense, doesn't it? VOTE!!!!!
