no good deed goes unpunished. the person charged with maintaining good order and discipline within the school sets up a sting, with the help of a observe and report security agent.
do the police have any undercover cops that could pass for a middle schooler?

The "security agent" is a toy-cop security guard. Why didn't she ask the real police to handle it? These public school payrollers live in their own dream world, so used to bullying kids with no consequences that they think they can do anything.

Perhaps they have to be controlling because the parents don't parent. Todays youth lack morals, manners and respect. They all believe they are born with the right to be respected. Anyone ever teach that respect is earned, not a right. The 'toy' cop, in your pathetic view (you are obviously a blowhard), could have more effect accomplishing this sting than the cops could. The cops are hampered by so many restrictions and ineffectual courts and prosecutors that by the time they initiated anything the kid would have graduated high school. Greek, pay your private tuition and keep your inflated ego in a closet

I am glad I paid private school tuition. My son is a Doctor and my daughter is an engineer who graduated from MIT. Publics schools have gotten so liberal, they are there for the students anymore. I encourage my own grown children NOT to send their children to public schools. There shoud be FREE CHOICE of schools in Ct instead of building very expensive magnet schools and new schools. There needs to be new thinking for the good of the children not the good of the educations unions. Thanks

She's pn;y doing what the police were unable to do. She was trying to clean up the school. As for all the comments about private school, a co-worker has a son in a very well known private school here in CT, and the drugs are just as readily available there, too.

The dangerous drug activity has been a problem in our schools for so many years and our naive, curious and vulnerable kids are experimenting for the first time right inside the building, while the adult educators and staff ignore the problem. It is time to stop tippy toeing around this illegal activity and begin to think of the welfare of our kids. What is the procedure in place to identify the drug dealers and drug addled kids who are in the classroom? Is a teacher really educating these kids when they sit there stoned? Their years of training, hard work, and money spent, etc. should not be wasted trying to teach "wasted" students, whose minds are muddled with mind-altering substances. Parents need help in armoring their children against this reality in our culture, and school is a very big part of the culture in which our kids participate. It seems as though the school officials would rather protect the problem, than the kids. This vice principal and the resource officer do not deserve to be treated like the "bad" guys. I wish more school administrators would become more aggressive with their efforts on ridding our schools of these insidious drugs.

When will school administrators learn that we are ALL one? What you send out comes back to you. Do you want a sweet life? Be kind to others. It comes back in unexpected ways...

This "educator" would be screaming about entrapment etc should one of her peers attempt to sell her anything illegal, like say a pirate cd, knock off hand beg etc. Just cause its pot doesnt make her right, she has some serious questions to answer. I hope she does some time in Niantic for this, maybe a weekend to "Scare her straight"

Another Courant inflammatory headline. Did this AP use bad judgement ... yes.But you wonder why. Would the school have taken the action she did? It's a sad story. From what I understand this AP is a dedicated and excellent employee.

I am concerned that the Courant would allow comments to be publicized (even in a Free Speech comment section) that use names and places of employment of particular individuals along with accusations of immoral and criminal activities by anonymous posters.
These employees have no part in this case. Are we allowed to accuse anyone in a public forum to be published
throughout the internet worldwide? Is that slander?

Angel needs to rethink his name. There are places for his anger and accusations. This forum is not only inappropriate, but the remarks may be criminal as posted.
