The mayor claims the crime rate is down in Hartford. HAHAHAHA He does nothing being a former gang member, he is afraid they will get him. So on it goes. He has ruined the city of Hartford. Mayor Peters kept his city under control. What a loss. Chief Daryl Roberts, I respect you Sir! Good Job!

I "love" all the people from out of town telling us to move! Number one I don't want to. No 2, try selling your house in Hartford! Taxes up 7%, corrupt administration, lousy school system, daily violence. Yeah, people are just standing in line to buy my house..... Thank God my kids are grown, out of college and on their own. I love my house, like and respect many of my law abiding hard working neighhbors and am trying to make a difference by tutoring and mentoring kids at my local school. Instead of trashing those of us trying to do something positive many you write us all off as animals and trash. Says a lot about how YOU were raised.

Whoa last part of my comment makes no sense. Not enough coffee I guess. Should read, "Instead of supporting those of us trying to do something positive, many of you write us off as animals," etc etc. Sorry

Your concern is appreciated, but the logic doesn't work. There are many of us who still remain in the city, who work hard, pay our taxes, raise our families, and do not run afoul of the law. What if ALL of us packed up and moved to, let's say for argument's sake, Cromwell? For starters, how much WORSE would Hartford become, considering what is left? Secondly, and deny it as you might, but we all know it to be a fact: There would be grumbling from SOME residents about the new influx of "minority" families moving into town. Notice I said SOME, not ALL. I don't say all this to DEFEND Hartford, but without good people it will never change. And change it must. Even the patience of a saint can run thin.

Yes, it matters to me because every gun crime gets the misguided, ignorant gun-control nuts up in arms to ban MY gun which hasn't killed any one or any thing.

Can't reporters these days use proper grammer? Example: "An 18-year old man was died". My 8-year grand-daughter can compose a report better than Hilda Munoz!

I moved here to be with him from stamford where prices continue to rise, not to mention the price of living.
