yes God set a day appart for us to rest, and you have said it, the Sabbath but you contradict yourself because then you mentioned the first day of the week, i know the 4th commandment says the 7th day of the week not the 1st.

Pal, it's time to reflect and realize there is no god to serve. Grow up and leave the fairy tales on the playground.

Yes, very good advice, if you are weary and stressed , rest in the arms of Jesus our Lord and savior. Find true comfort and peace. Or you can be like some, and just continue your hatred and vile contempt seven days out of the week..you chooseis it rest, or continued hatred...hmmmmm
I choose to rest on the arms of Jesus. Lord Have mercy

Isn't it funny that the very people who love God so much don't seem to care about hundeds of thousands of innocent people we are responsible for being maimed and killed? They can live in their little world and isolate themselves from reality. I guess it's good avoidance therapy but sooner or later you are going to have to deal with reality and not hide in a book of antiquity.

Perfection

If you are looking for perfection here on Earth, do not waste your time, it does not exist.

If you look to Christians or for that matter any other group of humans, to be perfect, hence a whipping post for your empty character assasination, you delude yourself.

Christians are not perfect, but they are forgiven.

To Never be Forgotten©

How many times has the “story of stories” been repeated, by millions of families throughout the ages since?

“He gave His only Begotten Son”, rings on and on. May that sacrifice never be forgotten.

Likewise, millions of other sons and daughters have been given, in their service; to God, to Country, to Family, to Community.

They, too, gave up their begotten children, their loved ones, for us, for all of us, to never be forgotten.

As was His sacrifice, is theirs, for the ever living hope of futures bright, we join in humble gratitude, to honor and to comfort all who need, and to never be forgotten.

Each New Day©

Each new day God provides for us a new beginning,

Each new day is cause to celebrate and to express our gratitude.

Each new day is a day for reflection upon past, current and future.

Each new day is an opportunity for giving and receiving forgiveness.

Each new day is a perfect gift from God for us to appreciate.

Each new day belongs to God and is shared with us.

Reminders of our responsibility of forgiving and being forgiven©

I have found in my life, the forgiveness most difficult, is the forgiveness of self. I attribute it to my ego and self-centered nature..

I must get tough with myself over resistance to self-forgiving, for it is the ultimate in arrogance, to not forgive myself, even after God and others have forgiven me....

In the Lord's Prayer, it says..."deliver us from evil", which I frequently replace with "deliver us from ego", as it reminds me that the worst evils in my personal life were frequently empowered by my ego...brought upon myself, allowing evil to control and consume....through blocking of my ability to be forgiven, to forgive others, and to forgive myself.

Today, I am grateful for the forgiveness of God, of my fellow man, and of myself...

Geography a problem, Smedley?

Reno is 454 miles from Las Vegas

And people who live here are less likely to participate in gaming. We get to watch the folks who come here, like Smedley, for our entertainment.

The only time I was in Reno was during Marine Corps Winter Warrior training at Pickle Meadows. And there are video slots and casinos in Reno.

You don't serve God invading countries for oil and war profiteering. We are all guilty. I take equal blame for the massacre of Iraqis for big business. This freedom talk makes me want to puke! You have to be a real idiot to think that we gave the Vietnamese or the Iraqis any freedom....pure massacre for corporate profit. They were butchered for business interests and no amount of right wing press and silent churches will ever cover that up!

With a possible 60,000 people dead because of the Burma Cyclone, and with the Military junta still refusing to accept all aid from an international community desperate to help, the people of Burma find themselves alone facing one of the most significantly destructive natural disasters of the countries history.

MIANZHU, China -- With more than 50,000 dead, there is little time for niceties in the disposal of the victims of China's massive earthquake.

At the Mianzhu funeral home, bloated corpses in body bags are sprayed with disinfectant and tossed into a truck like sacks of potatoes. The employees are doing their best to be respectful, but they are overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the disaster.

Thank you God:

Each new day is a perfect gift from God for us to appreciate.
