It's sad that HUD can't make the management of the projects do something about the infestation of bedbugs!! I know of at least 5 or 6 apartments that are infested!! Probably way more than that, as there is one woman that runs in and out of other people's apartments and doesn't bother to tell people she has them!!! Some people are just stupid! Blankenship extermination has told people in the past that he did NOT treat bedbugs!! And he has no idea what he is doing! If you don't use heat to treat them, then they will probably not die! But, the management of the projects keeps having him spray and guess what? They are still infested! HUD should clean house!!some of the people that have these things are old and don't know.how to treat them, so , they suffer!!

Get a job and then you can pay for a place to live and at that point you can complain about how it's taken care of. If they did do something about it you would complain about having to be out of your apartment. Especially if it were before lunch time. You wouldn't want to have to get up that early.

I live in the projects and I think Mrs.Hatter does a great job.Look around at other towns projects and I bet you won't find one as clean anywhere. The bed bug situation is not only in the projects,Belmont had a problem and about every other complex in town even the nursing home had bed bugs.I see the bug men spraying all the time and if thats who the contract is with how is that Mrs.Hatters fault she goes by hud rules.

The management of the Projects are not responsible for filth, lice, bed bugs and other infestations. If an apartment is infested with bed bugs those who live there are responsible for bringing and keeping them. You can fumigate and kill, but if the filth and varmints keep being reintroduced, it is the fault of the resident.
If lice or bed bugs visit my home, I will take care of it and not expect someone else to do it for me.
Housing projects and other freebies have often puzzled me. Wonder what the residents would accomplish in life if they were forced by hunger and cold to get a job and take responsibility for themselves.(Handicapped person, excepted)

Blankenship does the best they can with the situation they're presented with. Spraying isn't the only thing that can be done, and I'm sure that if you ask one of the guys they will tell you what YOU can do on your part to stop them from spreading. It's your responsibility, too.

Some of the people I have heard got bedbugs are very clean so being dirty has nothing to do with getting bedbugs. The ones who are not getting rid of them are the elderly who can't afford to get sprays themselves or don't have a clue what to do about it so yes I do think its Blankenship that should be getting rid of them,I am sure HUD signs that check to them each month.I think its time for a change Blankenship has had the contract with HUD for many years and seem to be getting no where when it comes to getting rid of bugs.Heard a couple of units hired another bug company themselves and got rid of all bugs its just some people can not afford to hire anyone else

I don't doubt that you saw that, but I can tell you for certain, that it's a load of crap. It's every bit as effective as hanging bags of water with a coin in them to keep away mosquitoes.
