I have a person that is thinking about putting his name in the hat. We are just trying to gauge if the county wants a change in office or not. And to reply to billyfan, He won't be the sheriff but he will be my guys right hand man.

MY husband is also running hes got a well named guy going to be his right hand man also its time for a change people its always went from deputy to sheriff to deputy need someone to come in from the public and try to get it straightend out..

we need a change....we have to make a change for our kids..i don't want my kids to grow up and think it's ok to drink and drive, hurt people, steal, speed or break other laws and that if your in with the law officals they won't do anything about it..i always want my kids to trust that when they need the law's assistance that honest and trust worthy law officals will help them in a timly manner. It awful that it people have an event and need the law in the county, that they call KSP because the SO in this county is a joke.

It's going to take more than your husband having a good right hand man to do the job. Somebody off of the street without any law enforcement background can't clean this county up. I'm sorry.

yeah he did such a great job when he was chief of police. are you catching the sarcasm in my voice here?

Watch what you wish for " CHANGE ", hasn't any one in this country learned their lesson form political figures or any other public official funning for " CHANGE ". That is a good catch phrase for the times. Everyone running needs to spell out their intentions for all issues at hand, and be held responsible for making measurable progress torwards that promise. That leads to alot of this countries problems today, is letting these lying people running for offices in this country " OFF THE HOOK " once they are elected to office. Take it serious folks, it will take decades to reverse and get this country back to the morales and values we all grew up with and believe in ( Even if they have to be closet beliefs) Can't offend anyone now can we. "STAND FOR SOMETHING OR STAND DOWN"

Come on!!!! I can't believe he is even a serious contender or is even thinking about running.

So true What Happened. Maybe this time we should be asking "what change do you have in mind exactly" instead of voting in a slogan. This county needs new blood. Get rid of the same old thing & put in someone new. Don't know who I will vote for, yet. I want to hear what they stand for & want to do in our town. Then I can make an informed decision.

well i tell you what voting booth will let the public decide that what counts there ready for a change.. ive been told by so many people here.. ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE IN SIDE AND OUT.. THINK YOU SO MUCH..

we need someone who is a family man,who will do whats right for the town instead of whats right for him and the police and sherifs office...no one in our law offices can do that...maybe we need someone from out of town.

and -or someone whos honest and wanting to do the job and do it right thats the biggie in my book and a lot of other peoples..

Ok, I am a mother of four and I know "enough" to know that this town definately needs a change. I don't want my kids growing up in a town where all they hear are promises. We need someone who stands behind their every word. Not someone that just says all the right things just to win an election. Thats ridiculous. Come on people of Mercer County and don't let just anyone have control of our town . Its in our hands and we do need a change, a good change. Don't vote for someone just because of their name, vote for them because they will get the job done. Thats what I intend on doing and I hope you all are too!! Please think of our kids and give them the best we can , someone who will protect and serve us . This is a big concern of mine and it should be yours too!!!

We have a good sheriff right now. He's doing a fine job, and he's going to continue to do it. Chris is the best sheriff we have had in a long time. And he treats people with respect. That goes a long way.
