Here is what happened

HARRODSBURG — A traffic stop in Lawrenceburg led to the discovery Tuesday of an active methamphetamine lab in Harrodsburg.
Harvey Hines of 229 Boone St. was charged with manufacturing meth after officers found a 16-ounce soft drink bottle containing meth ingredients in the freezer in his residence, Mercer County Deputy Sheriff Scott Elder said.

Mercer deputies, along with Harrodsburg officers, got permission from Hines to search the apartment after receiving information from Lawrenceburg that meth was being cooked there, Elder said.
Earlier Tuesday, Lawrenceburg police found ingredients used to manufacture meth during a traffic stop that led to the arrest of four Mercer County men on meth-related charges. Those arrested in Lawrenceburg were Daniel Patrick, Dustin Merriman, Lee Sims and Dale Voris, police said.
After the active lab was discovered in Harrodsburg, residents of nearby apartments had to be evacuated while the lab was dismantled and cleaned up by Kentucky State Police, Elder said.

How do you cook meth in a can in a freezer? Harvey took the fall for the others because why? Was the apartment in his name or something? Or was it because he was the only one there when the police showed up so he got arrested? Shame on you all you police and sheriffs involved in this mess with Harvey. This time do the right thing and don't stick it on someone to make yourselves look good. Put the blame where it belongs and on who it belongs, not a fall guy.

This is more proof that all public assistance recipients must be tested for illegal substances. I can guarantee 80% of those in public housing would be removed if this were done and the homes given to our elderly and families who would appreciate it.
People who are convicted with drug charges do get assisted help revoked. They can't get food stamps, certain charges like felonies and the can't vote. There are rules in place.

harveys not as stupid as he seems. his family will tell you its more of an act so he doesnt have to do anything and because everyone pays attention to him.
It is actual a fact that Harvey is slow and gets help because he has been diagnosed. I feel extra sorry for him if his family doesn't get that. It wouldn't be the first time a family in Mercer County has said things about another family member who is slow. I don't know maybe their too slow to understand it.

Harvey isn't the only one Sac "takes care of." I didn't think of it before but he must make pretty good money to "take care" of so many people.Hmm

Do any of you wonder why Sac is not in prison? It's cause the people "he takes care of", carry a badge and a gun. Maybe not all of them , but your an idiot if you think someone ain't looking out for him. I know a couple of the police personally, and I wouldn't trust them with my lunch. I have never been to jail or made any drugs. So this ain't a "I hate the cops" comment. This is a "everyone has a price" kinda comment.

A male with a grown mans body and a small boys mind had this done to Him. You said Harvey did this too himself. He is not smart enough to make meth. He can't even repeat a complete sentence back to you. After you repeat it over and over to him and try and get him to repeat it back to you the way you told it to him. I know I have tried and tried with Harvey. Scott Elder and Bradshaw needs to drop this on Harvey and get the ones who informed the police of the bottle. I was always told the smeller is the feller. In this case it is the teller is probably the feller or close to it. In my opinion.
Right is right. This is not right if the police let Harvey take the fall for this just to say they got an arrest made in this case. It has been done before. But it is not right. Don't protect your rats and do the right thing.

I realize that, however they should be tested before we spend tens of thousands of dollars on them. I'd also like to see a cap on the number of children we support, maybe some of these walking breeders would close their legs.

George was not searched,he did show up while the cops were there and he had a bag of food the cops looked in the bag I know because I saw it.
Harvey is a good person with a big heart and I am sorry this happened to him but I believe he knew it was there.I think it belonged to the ones that got busted in Anderson Co.I saw the cops search Dustins house he only lived 2 doors down from Harvey, they probably told Harvey they would give him some money and old Harvey said okay.Just don't think Harvey should go down alone for this when everyone has to know he didn't do it alone.I am glad no one was hurt because the apartments are where a lot of elderly people live who for sure had nothing to do with it.

How stupid do you have to be to be speeding while there is meth in your car.
