Why do the City Police now patrol way out of the city limits? Has something chaged about their jurisdiction bounderies? I have seen them making traffic stops as far out on 127 as Mcafee.

Harrodsburg City police have county-wide jurisdiction and state-wide jurisdiction under certain circumstances.

When this happened, did you note the time? Did you call Chief Whitenack or Lt Powell and let them know? Or did you just come on here to b1tch about nothing?

I'm sick and tired of their asses flying thru town in their pretty Chargers ( without lights or sirens ) It's getting out of hand. They are going to hit someone or cause someone to hit them and you can bet they cover their asses.

Wow! I look forward to hearing you take the podium at the next city commissioner's meeting! Can't wait to see the look on Moseley's face when you lay down your charges!

Oh. So in other words, you're just going to bitch about it on Topix, but do absolutely nothing that would remedy the situation. Got ya!

You got it.... I figured that since your life revolves around " Topix" and you clearly have nothing else to do, you can go for me.
Let us know how everything turns out.

Well, I thought the HPD only were to cruise to the city limits ( unless in HOT pursuit ) and the sheriffs dept does the county . I mean, this ain't exactly St Louis you know. I recently seen a show where the cop had his audio & video still running & he was the one that caused an accident but tried blaming it on a 23 yr old woman. He called in a buddy & they "thought " they had everything set up just right. Thank goodness 4 the tape. He was fired , she sued & it was beautiful !

This is of course incorrect. Harrodsburg police have county-wide jurisdiction and in some cases state-wide jurisdiction. This is true for any city such as Danville or Stanford and even Burgin. Jim Caldwell can go anywhere in Mercer County that he wants, for example.

I once saw a show where a stupid guy got the girl and ended up on top of the world. Alas, it was just a show.

well, it sure wasn't like that 20. Or 25 yrs ago. What good is the sheriff's Dept ?? What is their official capacity ? If HPD can do these things then don't need the sheriff. Sure sounds like A lot of dollars running down the stream & I don't know nor care who tim caldwell is.

I too must wonder what her tale about an accident has to do with the HPD outside city limits. It's called a red herring. See #2 http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/red+he...
