Toby Keith stopped paying rent on their space in Cincinnati last November, not sure if it's been resolved it not but it wasn't last month. It's a fun well run place, and it was packed last weekend, although there are lots of draws in that area.

Hope that something special goes back n there. Haven't been to Toby's in Cinci. If it is consistently good that word gets around. Can't charge big prices and not deliver the goods. That is a recipe for failure for sure.

No more famous people. How about actual chain restaurants that know what they are doing? Logan's, Lonestar, outback, Texas roadhouse etc.

I think this is a great idea! In the morning, be sure you are waiting at the front door of your favorite bank for them to open. As soon as the key is turned, go in and ask to speak to a loan officer. Tell him or her that you want to take out a loan to open a Logan's Roadhouse.

Let us know how that goes. I'll be checking in tomorrow afternoon!

You sing the same song and verse. The ordinary citizen cannot open a restaurant. We don't have the money and we don't have the expertise.

The truth is that this town does not have a decent restaurant except the trio of establishments run by the Dedmans. If you don't like the stiff necked restaurant and bars of the Dedmans, you are then out of luck.

Like a lot of Harrodsburg people I fell for the song and dance of the pro booze crowd and voted numerous times for alcohol. We were promised new restaurants and prosperity. We got neither.

Oh, there is money being made. But it goes to one family. It has brought me not one dime and I have to take my dining out business to Lexington and Danville. Because we have to leave Harrodsburg in order to get a good meal the alcohol lie is taking money out of this town instead of bringing it in.

Well that's why you go to the bank and take out a loan!

"Oh, there is money being made. But it goes to one family." ---- I didn't realize that the owners of La Fonda and The Alamo where in the same family as the owners of Beaumont Inn! How'd that happen??

Is the owner of Wah Mei an "ordinary person"? What about the owner of The Alamo? How about the franchise owners of the two Subways in town? The Arby's? Are they ordinary people?

Yes I will say it again and again! It is not the responsibility of the City of Harrodsburg to build and open restaurants. That's not where the restaurants of Danville or the restaurants of Lexington came from. They came from someone going to the bank and taking out a loan.

Whose responsibility do you think it is to open these places in Harrodsburg?
