You mean the same Chris Edwards who has to go to court tomorrow? The same Chris Edwards who Ernie Kelty said that the whole time he was on the force no one ever said he did anything inappropriate?

Or are you talking about another disgraced ex-lawman?

I'll bet you a dollar to a doughnut that he was drunk. If you have any more details, please let us know.

Bart, the Chris Edwards that I am speaking of is the same one that goes to court tomorrow. I don't know if he was drunk or not. I just know he had to leave the Burgin ball game for running his mouth. And he don't even have a kid that plays ball on that team?

Ok. I'm not trying to interrogate you or anything, but was he up in the stands? Was he mouthing to another spectator, a coach, a player? Did you see this yourself? I'm just trying to get a picture of what was going on.

Just need to know...it's gonna come up when you run for mayor. Everyone will dig up your dirt so go ahead and spill the truth.

Oh I'm sorry. Are people talking about good ole Chris again? Does it make you "fume"? Better do something quick to try to divert attention from Chris to someone else. So let's talk about something that happened 20 years ago!

Look, dipshit, if I run for mayor that is obviously holding public office. Last time I checked, you can't hold public office if you were convicted of a felony, unless of course you are pardoned, in which case that erases the conviction.

However, the answer to your question is not just no, but hell no. You can talk about what you heard all you want. The proof is in the pudding. Now if you disagree with that you are more than welcome to go up to the courthouse and do some research or you can go to the sex offender registry located here: http://kspsor.state.ky.us/ and waste all the time that you want. The answer is, NO. All the bitching and moaning on Topix or in the barber shop or the break room at work, will not change that. Deal with it! Get over it!

As for me, I'm not concerned with something that supposedly happened 20 years ago. Perhaps you would like to give me your name and we can see if you have anything that you'd like "spilled." I'll be happy to post it for you, if you'd like.

Now let's talk about the present and the future. I will be in court tomorrow when Chris Edwards must stand before the judge in a courtroom full of Mercer County citizens. He'll be patted down on the way in and will have to sit with other people accused of crimes. Let's hope that he doesn't show up drunk.

Bart, some people just can't leave the pass alone. Chris Edwards thinks his sh-- don't stink. I hope justice is done tomorrow. That's one of the problems here in Mercer Co. a slap on the hand is not enough.

Well tomorrow is just an arraignment. He'll be told what he is accused of and he will have to plead guilty or not guilty. I am assuming that he will plead not guilty. Then there will be a pre-trial hearing. At that time myself and the prosecutor will get with him and his attorney if he has one and attempt to work out a plea. Personally I am not willing to budge, so we could just skip that part. Then there will be a trial either by the judge or by a jury of six. That will be his choice. So we are still about four to six months off from a trial.

Look, I really didn't want to do all this but under the circumstances, I really didn't have much of a choice. If I had struck him, then it would be me having to prove my innocence. I would have went to jail. I probably would have had to pay a big restitution payment for any injuries that I caused. The Harrodsburg Herald would have twisted it every which way but loose to make me look like the aggressor. They have done it before and would love to do it again. After all, the news media controls public opinion.

This way the people of Mercer County get to hear what happened and he will be exposed to those few non believers as the drunken maniac that he is. I know that this has Kelty and that jackass Springate pulling their hair out!

I'll keep everyone posted. I really appreciate your support and the support of all the people who have come forward over the years.

I will be making sure that justice is served. You know what they say, "Justice is a dish that is best served cold." It supposed to top out tomorrow at 35 degrees so that's about right.

However, I've got more sense than to wear my panties to the courthouse. Could you imagine?? Male whale tale in the courtroom. No thank you!

Now if you will excuse me, I am getting ready to go celebrate Chinese New Year. 再见 (Zai Jain)

We all know that people convicted of a sex crime 20 years ago are not on the sex offender registry. People covicted prior to the passing of legislation requiring all sex offenders to register are not on the list. The legislation is not retroactive. And so what if someone did bring up something that might have happened 20 years ago? Are you the person who gets to decide when it is appropriate to mention something? How long is it after the event? 10 years, 5 years, 1 year or what? It seems you like to bring up things from the past all the time. Hell, you were still talking about Chris Edwards and his DUI just the other day. And its been how long? Just wondering why you are allowed to discuss what ever you want but others are not?
