It is very possible, unless the Republican Party changes it's position on many issues, that George W. Bush will be the last Republican President.
Republicans will continue to do well in the deep south with the exception of Florida. They will continue to do well in the sparsely populated states of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and so forth.
But that's where it ends. There will be fewer and fewer "battleground states" and once Ohio turns blue, it will be over for them. It won't be long before Texas and Arizona become battleground states, losing their "red" status.
The Republican Party's only hope is to embrace Hispanics and other minorities, gays and lesbians, and those people who follow a religion other than Christianity. The ranting and raving against the poor (even if they are poor by their own fault) must stop. This includes insulting people on any form of welfare.
Unless the Republicans soften their stances on social issues, and move to the center, they will continue to only draw 40-46% of the vote nationwide. While this is enough to keep the party alive, it isn't enough to win the White House.
The problem isnt that they havent gone to far to the center, the problem is they are going left of center and alienating their base.
john mcshame and ol romney both were left leaning on many issues.
That is the biggest reason why we lost. People want to feel like they are voting for something, not just against something
The republican party is basically the lighter version of the democrat party.
Either way, when the immigration bill passes, you can say bye bye to republicans winning national elections.

Those old white guys defended us in WW 2 and lived through the Great depression...or they set the tone for the present old white guys.

But you are right. Whitie is doomed. White couples are having an average of one child. This means that each generation the white population will be cut in half. Meanwhile Hispanics and blacks are breeding like rabbits. The future of this country is in copper colored people. But it is the culture of the county is changing and that what bothers old white guys. Gayness is celebrated. Language is becoming crude. Music had degenerated into a reflection of the worse of inner city life. And a person can be destroyed by a word said years ago while a popular singer degrades the National Anthem. And so it goes.

Google it. Surely you know that Madonna pushes gayness. And since gays are all the rage now, she can degrade the national anthem and actually be though of as being positive.

But my question to you, and all those who read this post is this:
Are you in agreement that this organization that has helped so many troubled youth should be denied federal tax money because of the word God and that it is perfectly fine for an American singer to substitute the word gays for brave in our national anthem?

Hillary Clinton is sure to be our next president and Obama's policies will continue. You are correct, it's looks like Democrats forever. Why is that? It is simple. There are enough people who get something from the Democrats to elect Adolph Hitler if somehow he could be brought back to life in this country. Of course it cannot be Hitler or any other male. The Democrats are seeking female candidates across the country to run for various offices not because the individuals have integrity and intelligence, although some of them do, but because they know that women will vote in mass for another woman.

It is not just the Democrats who are leading this country into disgrace and bankruptcy. It is the system where each political party pushes itself over the country, thereby creating a impasse which only puts off what must be done, and feeds itself by trying to please the voter rather than solving our massive problems.

A local community in Louisiana has teamed with some ex Marines to form a program to help disadvantaged youth. The program has helped thousands of troubled kids with great success. It uses "junior marine" as a guide and kids pledge to respect country, community, parents and God. Because of the word God in the pledge the federal authorities have taken away the grant which has helped fund the program.
Madonna corrupted our national anthem by singing this " home for gays" instead of home of the brave in her recent version of our national anthem.
She is praised on national TV and Louisiana kids can't use the word God.
What's next? Taking "Under God" out of the pledge of allegiance?
What I don't understand is why the DOJ has their camo in a knot when the last four words of the Marine Corps oath are "So help me God." If the big boys and girls have been allowed to say it all these years, why is it suddenly such a problem for the kids to say it?

As for Madonna - meh. She built her career on controversy, not talent. She hasn't gotten much press lately, so she had to find something to get the cameras focused on her again. In the grand scheme of things, do the antics of a faded star really matter that much?

Why is this country going to hell in a hand basket? Well its pretty simple really, as for awhile now, we the people have been pushing God out of our lives and have been following our lust for material things etc.
The further we get from God, the worse things will get for us as a people and country.

The only hope for this country, is for its people to turn from their wicked ways, and get back to following God.

If women will vote in mass for another woman, why isn't John McCain and Sarah Palin in the White House right now? Why didn't Michele Bachmann win the GOP nomination last year?

You've got to be careful when you make generalizations like that.

The problem is that enough people believe that. Everybody wants what they want regardless of right or wrong or the damage it may cause. Some have said that the Republican Party needs to soften up on social issues. That exactly the problem. To many people have degraded their morals to nothing in order to have a material gain.

"What does it profit a man to gain the whole world yet forfeit his soul"

As far as Christianity goes I will not shove it down anyone's throat but without a basis for right and wrong what does anyone have to stand on? You can say I'm a good person but what are basing that on. You can say I've never done anything too bad but what are you basing that on.

You say what you want but our country was founded on biblical principles and we are have slowly removed that little by little so we don't offend anyone. It has gotten the point that the only person you can criticize and get away with it is a Christian.

If you don't believe in the bible just look at history and see what started the fall of many great nations. Most particularly Rome. When Rome fell it wasn't because of financial issues or bad economic policies or even war. It was because they became of nation with no morals no beliefs and everything under the sun was viewed as ok. Homosexuality, sodomy, incest and murder of children where rampant. Sound familiar? We've now legalized abortion and gay marriage. It's only a matter of time before incest will allowed because we cannot impose on someone's civil liberties. If a man wants to marry his daughter how can we say no. I mean after all that's what he feels is right.

I know there are going to be alot of people bash this because it makes them uncomfortable but maybe it should make you uncomfortable.

You talk out of both sides of your mouth. You give idiots a bad name.
Money is not a religious object. A cross is an religious object. Money is something all together different. And if that is the only thing you can say to prove your point then you are not the intelligent person here...and I dont assume anything...

Sure, you assumed a lot.

Like I said, you talk out of both sides of your mouth. Condemn religion on one hand and carry money, which has a religious statement on it, on the other. Make up your mind.

I never said money was a religious object. I said it had a religious statement on it. Try to keep up.
