Guess I should have never began talking about music with non-musicians. Any musician would know what I'm talking about. Music is very subjective, and everyone is entitled to enjoy whatever they like. But whether you can play or not isn't really subjective. You can either play or you can't, and these guys can't. They don't have to be great players for someone to enjoy their music. But, bottom line, they can't play.

I'm a musician and I've seen the Nonfilters and listened to all their recorded music and I'm quite impressed. There's no speed Van Halen quality guitar or anything, but EVH really always bored the hell out of me anyway. I don't hear anything wrong with the drums. Perfect timing. The later recordings anyway. All their songs on the site have a recording date. Very well-written songs IMHO. Who are your favorite bands true? I'm not arguing with you for not liking these guys, that's your right, but you sound a little ignorant knocking their musicianship and songwriting. I've played sessions in Nashville for ten years and there's no doubt these guys are more talented than half the acts I've been paid to play for. You should just say their music is not your style. You sound like an a$$.

I've been a musician for over twenty years, and have made a living playing for most of that time. I don't feel that I'm an ass at all, just offering an opinion, and don't think I was rude about it. I don't really have a "style". I like all different types of music, and can respect alot of what I don't personally like, as long as it's played well. I respect talent more than anything. And you're right, most of what comes out of Nashville these days is crap. I just don't feel that what I've heard from these guys shows much talent. But, I've also said on here that I have not heard every single thing they've ever done. If someone can tell me where they'e playing next, I'll check them out again, if I'm not playing somewhere myself that night. I'm open to re-evaluating them.

I LOVE these guys! They played a private party for me this year and were fantastic! I had 20 somethings to 50 somethings at the party and everyone really enjoyed it! They do play a lot of covers but its all good cause the range is incredible. Everything from Johnny Cash to Michael Jackson to the White Stripes and they even played some Grateful Dead for me! They do have some great original songs too... The time has come to get down and a few others that i can't think of the names of right now. They get out there and play their hardest! I highly recommend them!

I used to watch the nonfilters at the grapevine in Lexington, and the best I can say is they are unpredictable. Some nights they really set me on fire and others they sounded like they had just got up on Christmas morning and Santa had brought them their first musical instruments. Caution: REALLY LOUD!! If you get them to play your party, clear it with the neighbors first and don't get a keg. It seemed like that brought on the bad nights at the Grapevine. I didn't realize they were still playing. But I'll check them out again. They told me they broke up two years ago at the g.v. Good luck guys.

The G.V. sucks. My buddy had a band and they did the same thing to him, told everybody that asked why they weren't playing there anymore that his band had broke up. I went there with him a few times and saw the non-filters. I agree they're unstable but they put theirselves into it except the one guy that just stood there the whole time. Their drummer was excellent. I'd like to see them again. Anybody know where they play now?

The guy wanting them to play your party, do it. They are the best party band around. They'll shock you with something every time. If it's a big redneck party, they aren't really country, but everybody will still love it. They're real professional. All the sh1t about them being a bunch of drunks is just a joke.

I heard their playing at the Alamo in town. They never play in Harrodsburg anymore. I bet it's a full house that night.

I've never heard any of their songs they've written, but they sound damn fine in the bars. They used to play Cooter Browns in Frankfort a lot and Wildcards in Lawrenceburg.

This band is a joke. I agree with dude that says they cant play except when he says the singers halfway decent. Little Jacks band plays circles around them. If they've really played anywhere, there talented con artists but nothing else.

I disagree mediumrare. They play everywhere more than once and set their price after a couple of times because they have fun along with their crowd. They're not con artists. They know what they're doing and have fun doing it instead of taking themselves too serious and posing all the time like most local bands. And who the f is Little Jack? Is this 1993?
