The prices are way too much!!And you even have to send their own food! Christian based is not what it sounds like.....it's all about the money!!

Very expensive and it makes you wonder why they don't or can't serve food. The only explanation I can imagine is heath dept. regulations. The other day cares do serve meals, why is it that this one does not? The Christian school one that the owner of this Tree house place used to work at does not serve meals either. They want the kids to have bread and juice for breakfast no protein. Does this one have a phone The Christian school daycare doesn't. These places are strange to me.

my son goes there and so far I am really happy with them. I would recommend them as a good day care. BTW, I don't mind sending my child food, that way I know he gets what he likes. :)

Isnt this facility ran by Melissa Runyon? Whom was the Director of Central Kentucky Christian School and now has her "own" business. As most all of Harrodsburg knows the Christian school isn't very Christian at all and that would make me wonder if Gods Tree House would be ran in the same fashion since she was the Director. Alot of parents including myself took their children out of Central Kentucky Christian and put them in DCA. Not to mention their employees dont get paid until the tuition is paid and they have something called "sweat equity" which isnt properly accounted for. Alot of the teachers don't even have degrees in teaching and they also bounce from teaching music and p.e. to teaching a class of preschoolers. After asking $3000 a year in tuition they also beg for plastic spoons for their "cafeteria" and when you do donate something you only get recognized in their "pals" letter if it meets their expectations. The only verification it takes to get into that school is to talk to their principal and they call your pastor when you first enroll. Half the ppl that have their kids in that school dont attend church regularly. ITs all about the money. They also bought the Bradshaw building and it stands untouched for years until a family finally will donate the money and time to fix it. They beg for ppl to mow the grass and snacks for the kids. They split dinners with children whose parents dont send their children lunch on a regular basis. They dont turn in parents whose children come to school unkept. I would be very scared to send my child to a place whose director was associated with that place. I do wish them all the best because Harrodsburg sure does need a Christian based day care.

This is only my opinion and this was my own take with the Christian School many years ago. I do think that they have new policies. I am not sure if Mrs. Runyon is the new owner. I had heard that from a girl who had her child at the old daycare. I have heard that since this is a private day care that policies would be handled differently, which does make since because I think that Christian Schools have to do all those "strange" policy things because they dont get government funding. I wasnt meaning to make the Gods Tree House into the Ckcs discussion. lol. Which im sure that all that families that left would agree that the truth shall set you free. As long as Gods Tree House is independently owned and not a branch of ckcs it would probably do Hburg some good.

CKSC accepts payment from the state for the preschool/ daycare program.

i can't speak for the rest of the Christian School but i do know that the early ed department was ran very well under Mrs. Runyon. i think they kept the early ed and primary seperate. Im sure Mrs. Runyon will do well at her new business.

The response seems to be more about the Christian school when i worked there is not allowed to share food due to state regs.. The daycare and school is separate out at the christian school... The tree house does not ask for supplies except for diaper and wipes. They are a small preschool and are focusing on academics instead of cooking!!! they are very good at what they do and i know the staff and threy are excellent people maybe thats why they left. I understand they are working on lunch program. so the person that made this comment i just want people to be clear that they were talking about another center on asking for stuff and mowing the grass not the tree house there fees for academics is almost nothing compared to other centers with this type of program. they are trying to be reasonable i saved 50 dollarts take my children there. they have part-time and daily rates most daycares wont lety you do that. they dont charge for summer if your child doesnt need it either. i have worked in other daycares and they dont give them enough food third cup of milk and a half a hotdog as a serving they at Gods tree house wnat them to eat what they like and have plenty.... most people do not mind packing leftover or a simple lunch.for breakfast they have a state regulated lunch box program and the families pack by the menu they keep it in my childs lunch box.
is not a

We accept assistant care and are working on the food program for lunches. we have just opended and the families are happy no one has complained about bringing in items. We provide snack after lunch .. The small ones(under 20 months we ask for extra just in case they wont eat what we have. The other comment stated about supplies we do not ask for supplies from our parents and i guess my husband would prob love for me to have someone mow our grass hahah.. We have just begain one step at a time. Yes we are different then other daycares, Because we are a preschool first. If any of you are debating on trying us call me i will give you a free trail day!!!!! Serving Him Melissas Runyon

My children had Mrs. Runyon. She is up to par and an outstanding minster for the Lord to these children. My children learned so much from her. The reading skills that they had after having her was amazing. She makes sure they know their Bible drill and verses. They are ready for the next grade and are advance... Her sisters are great too they do threes and they can do sounds and identify letters numbers early on too. I waqs impressed with this group. I have known this group for about 4 yrs. Mrs. Runyon dont you worry about outstanding Teacher my children had her for Kindergarten and family had her for Preschool K4..

Please be nice. It is always hard to have change. I have health concerns and felt it would be better to have own business so that i would have the freedom to make things easier on me, if i needed. I am excited what the Lord has done and will only give him the glory for this great opportunity. We are excited to service parents that want more than daycare for their little ones.
