Why is the Cass County Sheriff office investagating the death in the County jail. When it happened in the county jail. The FBI should be investagating the crime that happened in the county jail. The county could and wood cover it up. Now their has been two deaths, WHY, We will never find out what really happened. I have been in lawenforcement for a long time and you just don't let the same people investagate there on crime. OH, I for got the sheriff of Cass county missouri said, he can go to any police department and tell them what to do. My cooment on this county sheriff in cass county back off, the case and let someone else that will tell the truth about what happened. There should of be a watch on this person at all time. The sheriff office is to protect the inmates from hurting themself and from letting them kill themself. All this shows is that the dupties and the sheriff is not doing there job. Cass county needs to kick this sheriff out of office, because he will violate your Civil rights. He does it all the time on the inmates that are in the county jail. Just look at the civil rights case that this county have been charged with. Go to the Federal Court filing and you will see what is going on in that county. I am sorry to say the sheriff of Cass county is one of those GOOD OLD BOYS, that lets there duputies do what ever they want to do. Again the FBI should be looking in to these cases not the sheriff of cass County. I just can't wait to see if one of the Cass County officers answers this comment. I wonder how many people are being filed on that did not do the crime, But, are still charged with a crime. And the citizens have no money to fight it. Come on the citizens of cass county can you pay more taxes because of this county sheriff. Just wait tell you are charge for a crime that you did not do, then it is to late.

I do not know what law enforcement agencies that you work (or worked) for, but with the grammer and spelling that you used I can only imagine that it was not of a high caliber. Remember... Do the crime do the time.

I must agree with you by saying that I also think that there should be an outside investigation into these two deaths that happened in such a short period of time. I find this to be very suspicious and if I were a family member I would fight to get others involved. One time is gross negligence twice is absolutely suspicious!

"who really cares if they kill there self. The take the chicken shi! way out instead on facing what they done"
Wow! I have to wonder if you think this person crawled out from under a rock or something? Do you think they don't have a mother, father, siblings or maybe CHILDREN who care whether or not they live? I agree that it's a cop-out to commit suicide because you don't want to face your consequences, but for you to sit there and say, "who cares" just shows what a heartless, cruel person you are. Trust me, somebody somewhere cares and deserves to know the truth of what happened.

I cannot believe that you people are that ignorant. Suicide a cop out? They don't have a life after that. So how can it be a way out. I knew the last person that died. She was in on a misdemeanor rap.She was such a scared little girl that they intimidated too much. They told her that she would be in there for a while. She got very scared that she would never get out. She was tiny and a great person to have as a friend.Wake up..It happens way too much. Due to being harassed and intimidated by officers.Throw them to the hogs more or less. How would you like it if you were in there and was told that you were going to be put in general population with all the hard criminals.
Something needs to be done about the Officers attitudes. I know most of them since I grew up and was born there.I miss Norman, bad. There is several officers that do have hearts and will help.Plus Detectives. They just need to quit treating all people like they are guilty until proven innocent. They have always had it backwards.

i was locked up there at the time of both suicides for a probation violation. I was in d pod with the gentleman who took his own life...in fact my cellmate discovered him. he had hung himself with a bed sheet. he hadn't been checked on since they let us out for breakfast which meant it could have happened from anywhere between 7 or 8 and noon. After locking us all down, for their "investigation", we remained on lockdown for a good week-week and a half only to be allowed enough time to eat then right back into our 6 by 10's. When they did let us out everyone-i am pretty sure in the entire facility-had to sign a form, after discussing the suicide ordeal with the nurse on duty, stating that we were of sound mind and body and did not currently feel like harming ourselves or someone else. If someone was not of sound mind and body do you think they are going to fess up and sign on the dotted line. They kept the girl's suicide real hush hush also because she threatened the judge...collins i think, who by the way is a world class cock sucker, and told him she was going to take her own life. Any other jail would have put her on suicide watch. Due to Cass County's negligence she did in fact take her own life. The entire sherriff's department is the biggest collection and the most ragtag group of redneck cousin pokers anyone could ever have the displeasure of meeting anywhere let alone jail.

I notice the original article has been removed, and a Google search gets you exactly *nothing* about inmate deaths in the Cass County jail. This is a scary town to live in. Another example? Someone can just walk into this tiny town, murder an outstanding citizen with no enemies in broad daylight in a neighborhood full of people, then just fade into the background. No one will ever know the truth of that situation either, because this GOOD OLE BOY town plays by its own rules. If it isn't the codes administrator stalking you then it's some other ridiculous hoop to jump through. However...when it comes to your personal safety, don't count on swift response time....or fairness. Unless you're a GOOD OLE BOY.

I can't believe the way they treat people. Come on these are still people alot of them are good people that just make bad choices. I'm pretty sure that everyone has made a bad choice in there life but some people just don't get caught or if they do they just sweep it under the rug. Why is it ok for a judge to drink and drive and if he gets caught it's hush hush and swept under the rug. I know for a fact that one certain judge has done drugs and drinks all the time and he puts people in prison every day for the same thing. It really makes me mad the way they treat people. Something needs to be done with all the unfairness and abuse that this court system and jail are up to. If you don't have the money for a good lawyer they just through you in jail so that they can get the money from the state. It seems to me that it's all about money and power with these people and they don't care about a humen life. And to that jackass that said who cares about someone taking there own life. You have no heart and I hope that someday you will know the pain it feels to lose someone close to you. It is probably one of the cops that bulled this poor young lady. I don't know how you people sleep with yourself at night.
