Interesting. I read about the finding of the documents on the H'burg news site on October 15. I wonder why they haven't posted the results of the investigation? But there is an article about an Albemarle County supervisor being arrested. I guess they are right, "all politics is local".

Any Republicans concerned about voter fraud might start by looking in the mirror before continuing the effort to disenfranchise poor people and minorities!!

This is America. This country was funded on democracy, i;e, the right to vote. What gives you the right to take that from people? If I were the prosecuting attorney I would ask for the maximum sentence given to date in similar cases plus three years.

The party so worried about voter fraud. Guilty conscience syndrome.

Not surprised at all that the person was somebody hired by the Republican party. The republcans think they can only win an election by cheating. I think the republicans who hired him should also be investigated- seems to me he might have been following orders!!!

If the courts keep shooting down voter suppression efforts, move on to plan B.

This is why so many minorities wont vote Republican. The stigma of racism and cheating.

I think you've got this upside-down. He was hired by the Republicans to register voters and threw their completed forms in the trash. In other words, he was a Democrat who infiltrated the Republicans to cause them harm. Makes much more sense now, doesn't it?

all you commenters grouping this one mans actions are implying that that 1 person represents an entire group of people. If thats true, all democrats are liars, have cheated on their spouses, are homosexuals, are responsible for negligence resulting in innocent deaths....let's go one step further....all democrats are caucasion, rich, live in huge expensive houses and have multi-million dollar bank accounts, and even one final step further....all democrats are president and have been impeached from that office. AMAZING! and democrats call republicans racists and biggots stereotyping?

This is the "real face" of the Republicans NOW, especially after Karl Roves entrance. I am a Republican, and I am very ashamed to see the way they are behaving (like Hyenas).
Once a respectable party, now cooking their own BOOKS OF ETHICS AND TRUTHFULNESS. This is what we did not learn to make this country "the BEST" in the world. Please rectify your behavior and go back to our forefathers' era....that will make me and others PROUD again.

I hope there a serious consequences for this form of antisocial behavior. My parents taught me the difference between right and wrong. This young man obviously missed that lesson and I hope he pays the full price for cheating people out of their constitutional right to vote. Shame on him and the political party that supports this type of behavior.

Tyrone ~ In Virginia you don't declare a party (Republican, Democrat etc.)when you fill out a registration form. Everyone is considered "Independent" and can vote in any primary.
So he could collect registrations for anyone.

Perhaps they registered as Democrats, or expressed interest in Pres. Obama. There is NO indication of any connection to Democrats doing this, except in someone's head.
