wow. amazing details to this article and yet another amazing description of the suspect. I'm sure he or she will be caught very soon...Not.

I agree, fantastic journalism, what more could we ask for. Its no wonder the crime rate is taking such a nose dive.

I am curious if it is just incompetent reporting or an intentional effort at political correctness by avoiding the fact that there is a string of robberies that have been committed by members of a particular minority group. In either case, it is really very pathetic irresponsibility in journalism. I get your sarcastic comment about "the crime rate is taking such a nose dive", and from what I have read on the 7-eleven robbery thread there is an even uglier factor than lousy reporting motivating the crime.

You will find better journalism in the high school newspaper than these "no information" articles you read on CH 29 and the Daily Regress. Why would a city that's residents think they are so "uppity up" be willing to put up with such poor, lack of details reporting.

Whsv tv3 reports "Police are looking for a black male in his early 20's, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build, and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and jeans." Just have to go to a decent news source. C-ville news is a joke.

The uppitty up's are not really concerned with the crime rare and who commits the vast majority of violent crime, just so long as it doesn't ooz into their uppity up neighborhoods. Perception is everything to these people, Charlottesville's image must be protected at all costs. Our ignorance is bliss for them.

The uppity ups would be made very uncomfortable by a news source that reported facts that challenged their intentionally limited viewpoints.

Perhaps the article could read:

"Police say that somebody who was not wearing a badge ate food in a restaurant. It was later observed that money was not where it was supposed to be. An employee said:'Ooops' and called 911."

"Police are now looking for someone who is not wearing a badge."

However, the editor did not want to offend people who do not wear badges and risk their choosing to no longer eat food. This could have the potential of reducing the food tax revenues and the police could not afford to buy new badges, in which case, reporters would have no one to tell them amazing stories to write for 'we the peasants' to ponder over...etc...
