Great, now the democrats are going to be communicating with all their crazy book smarts. Thanks a lot for making our lives more complex by making us look outside the box, dang it.

Dare we hope she has an eye for design? The monthly newsletter mailed with the water bill should have the ink and the paper color contrast all over, not just "most" of the page. Black on slightly-less-black is pathetic.

And with someone new, we will probably fall back to the bad old days when the newsletter arrived AFTER most of the events "announced" in it already took place. We still have a little of that, but it used to be much worse.

No one involved in the editing can set a deadline to get the news early enough so the 2nd half of the mailing list sees it in time.

It's possible, and so sad, that no editor ever bothered to ask what the water bill mailing schedule is. May not even know they go out over weeks, and not all at once.

You speak as if there were multiple people and editors involved in the production of City Notes. There was only one. Ric Barrick. There were no "editors" plural. Blame Ric for the shoddy Notes. Oh wait, that's right..........he was fired from that position.
You think City Notes is bad, you should take a gander at all the stuff he's put together for the 250th Anniversary. You want to talk about shoddy, half the stuff he writes for that reads like "English second language." It's embarrassing, because he's representing the city.

That said, anybody has to be better than Ric Barrick, who was handed his former position as Director of Communications merely because of who his father was. Nepotism, instead of hiring the person most truly qualified for the position.
