The committee was designed to kill the smoking bill and that is what is happening. What a joke. PA is the ash tray of the Northeast and that is the way it is going to be.

Smoking kills. If you smoke, sooner or later it will kill you. If you smoke, please get help to quit.

I finally managed to quit a few years ago, but now I've developed asthma and being around any amount of secondhand smoke can set off an attack for me. I especially hate having to pass through doorways of buildings with smokers standing outside - I've seen some buildings where they prohibit smoking to a designated area. If every company/business/facility/rest aurant would simply take the initiative to ban smoking on their premises then there would be no reason to have to pass a law. To me, having to pass a law is for the people who are too stupid to know better or who simply don't care about the health of others. The right to breathe clean air comes before the right of anyone to smoke. I tell people over and over that I have to have clean air to live, a matter of life and death, but that it is not a matter of life and death for them to have the right to smoke. Even when I used to smoke I had enough sense and common courtesty not to do so if it bothered anyone or without asking them first if it would. How difficult does this need to be?
