Your argument is self-defeating.<quoted text> I just want to point out how putting emphasis on what the "majority" thinks is meaningless. Being in the majority does not mean it is correct.
There was once a "majority"of people during the 18th and 19th centuries that believed that women should not vote. That same "majority" believed that women should not go to law school nor should they be allowed to inherit property or buy property.
There was a time when a "majority" of people thought abortion was okay. That was during the 70's through 2000. Today a "majority" of people are pro life instead of pro choice.
Often times, it may be years, decades or more time before a majority will see the errors and folly of their beliefs.
Ever hear of GROUPTHINK?
Groupthink is a pattern of thought characterized by self deception, forced manufacture of consent, and conformity to "group" values and ethics.
I find liberals "groupthink"
The majority used to oppose gay marriage. Now they are seeing "the errors and folly of their beliefs" and waking up from that "groupthink.
The majority used to see homosexuality as a mental illness. Now they've woken up.
The majority used to suppress the rights of women and minorities. Now they've woken up.
The majority used to believe the abortion was unconditionally wrong. Now they've woken up and no longer oppose abortion under all circumstances.
Your argument is nonsense and actually proves your position wrong.
Congratulations - you've made the case FOR gay marriage.
