I believe he was killed by the lover of a woman he was also seeing, and she lived in the other man's homeplace which is about a half mile from the childhood home of Randy Traywick Travis...
I heard they arrested Clyde Helms for murder.

That brought him in for questioning but no arrest. Sad. I want whomever did this to be off the streets.

I do hope the police are looking at the widow of Mr. Godwin. She did leave him for another man. He tryed to get her back. but a couple of weeks ago they agreed to part ways. This girl is not from here, our little town knows people here, so dont blame the wrong person. This girl sleeps in the same house that her husband was killed in.... The same day he was found Dead there????

Is this a really small town? How do you seem to know so much about
"this girl"? and everything that is happening in her personal life?

I have known Charles for a very long time, isnt it kind of strange that she is living in the house since the day he was found sounds kind of fishy to me. I just wish the truth would come out.

I personally myself wouldn't be staying in the house that my husband was killed in, without knowing who did it. Sounds like she may know who did it, maybe its time to START INVESTIGATING THE WIDOW.

I heard that Pam had been talking to Clyde right before this all happened maybe they had it all planned out so she could end up with everything instead of half.

I've known Clyde for about 45 years, know the rest of his family, knew his dad and I'll bet one thing now. IF Clyde did it, it'll come out. He wont be able to live with himself. It just aint in him or anyone else that his dad raised.

With the murderer still at large and the reason for the murder of Charles still unknown, she obviously feels safe with what she knows if she is putting herself within even 2 hours of her husband's murder scene.
Odd yes, a reason to judge her? No!

Im not judging her, just saying who could ever even think about doing that. Knowing that she has not been there in the past three years and can just get up out of her apartment and move back in the house. I am "NOT" a judgmental person, but my concern is why was it so easy for her to just walk back through the door, knowing she couldn't do it when Charles was alive, but yet can now since he has passed. IT IS VERY SAD! People who put on a pity show...
