Railroad crossings could close to make high speed rail safer
The line of concerned neighbors stretched out the door and down the hall at University Meadows Elementary School Tuesday night for an informational session on the NC Department of Transportation's proposal to re-route several railroad crossings.

If this goes through it will kill the town. Traffic on the 2 remaing roads would be out of sight. Also, the flooding issues on Stallings and Pharr Mill would be a major issue at least 2-3 times a year boxing in people. Is this a first step in the direction of Charlotte/Mec picking up the southern part of Harrisburg since it would be a very nice dividing line.
