There is an old hospital/clinic right in the middle of Harrisburg, the name was Verser Clinic when it closed...probably 30 years ago or more. It is on Jackson (Highway 14) down close to the bank and tree service. I don't know who owns it now.

I have been in this hospital recently during daylight and darkness, while it is really creepy, I saw nothing that would make me think it is haunted.

It has only been closed around 20 years I am 32 and I remember going there when I was a child. I for one would love it if they would open it as a museum, I think that it is on the national register of historical places, so I don't think that they can tear it down.

now that we have established it was around 20 yrs ago, noone has tried to answer the original question, is it haunted? I personally don't think so, but my son has been in there and they claim some off the wall stuff lol...one only knows, but back in the day ( 20+yrs ago )I can tell you this much, it creapted me out so bad that when I lived very close to it, I was sent by myself to see the Dr. and I just acted like I went, I actually went to Hortons drug store,(I'm sure ya'll have heard of it) and told my parents they was going to bill her for the bill lol...I was to scared to go in there by myself.

ok people have died in there. therefore their could be spirits or demonds in there. no one knows for sure because you cant see demons or spirits. but my guess is that its haunted

There are spirits where-ever you are if you believe in spirits. If not then you will never know for sure will you ? LOL I would venture to say that people have died at some given time in the place you are at. May not in your bed or living room but in the general area. Spirits are just what you make out of them. My personal feeling is it is more of a mind thing than real spirtis bothering you.LOL Now that is just my personal feelings. Have a good night.

i have been in the hospital with a ghost hunter who does this sort of thing all the time and had all the equipment. we didn't "SEE" anything but u could tell when a ghost was nearby because it would get soo cold. i can't even describe the feeling, but i can say there is nothing evil i there. just llst souls that haven't moved on or possible don't even kno they r dead.

There was a story written in the modern news a few months ago by Carol Chandler (she has lives in harrisburg all her life)on the verser clinic. you might go to the modern news office and read it. It was a very good story.

I was born at Verser Clinic, like a whole lot of people were.I remember all of the good things about the place, remember the old coke machine that sat in the back hallway? Altho there's not much good about having to go to the doctor when you're a kid,I'm thankful that we had 2 doctors in our town that were dedicated men to their patients and profession.
I like to think that the "spirits" of Dr.Joe and Dr.Forrister are still alive and well in the town.Maybe that's why Dr.Houchin and Dow are there,to carry on what they left off when they left.Nothing haunted or scary about the place,it just looks sad,to me.I'm glad it was there when it was needed.

There's no family left except Joe Verser Jr,and,I don't believe Joe still owns any interest in the building. He sold that to Fonda Eaton.
