Actually no it won't. The land that has already been purchased is in the city limits...Midtown is not incorporated there for it doesn't really exist.

Finally...an intelligent decision by the Harriman City Council....now if the county commission would just start making intelligent decisions there'd be hope for this area yet.

For those that live Kingston and Rockwood and south of South Harriman, Midtown may not exist is actuallity, but Midtown will always be in our heart.

In three or five years, when someone ask's where
is the hospital the reply will,"It's over the hillin Midtown"

No they wont. They'll say it's over there next to Lowe's by the interstate. Oh yeah and the remark that we should call it midtown because an interstate sign says we should was pure genius. Huked on Fonix werked fer U didn't it?

Harriman, Kingston and Rockwood can annex and change names til the cows come home. Midtown is Midtown and always will be. Only the money hungry voted for the recent addition to Harriman city limits..the sale of their overpriced property depended on the land being in Harriman city limits. For the record...the new hospital will be in MIDTOWN not Midway and not Harriman!!!!!

Midtown may not actually be a town but if someone asked you where lowes was. How would you reply. I would reply that lowes is in modtown. People who have lived here for years say that area is midtown and always will be.

The City officials of Harriman have sold out the people of Harriman. The old Harriman Hospital now known as Roane Medical Center was paid for by donations from the citizens of Harriman a long time ago. The mismanagement of the city through the various incompetent mayors and city officials has resulted in the hospital not being able to do what they needed to do.
It is a true shame that the citizens of Harriman hhave not stood up and fought for their hospital. Many of the folks at the hospital may well find out just how things will differ when it becomes Covenant Health.
As a voter, I am so sorry that I voted for the current mayor...he has done nothing but go out of his way to give our city away. Surely come next election, the people of Harriman will see what is going on.
I find it hard to swallow but our hospital has been taken away from us..I hope that the Mayor, the hospital administrator and his cronies are happy now.
