I notice they keep linking these stories to Latter Day Saints.
Anything to do with Joseph Smith like polygamy, a copy gets sent over here.

Christ was supposedly arrested because he was an enemy of the state at the time. Joseph smith was arrested for treasure hunting, which kinds of puts a piece into a larger puzzle for me. It tends to back up what the critics have said about him, so its valuable information.

Try this on for size. The Blog says that JS founded the LDS on April 6, 1830. Wrong info. from a law student. JS founded the Church of Christ of 1830 on that date. The LDS came into being from the split up in the 1840's or 50's.

I don't follow. From why I understand, it was originally called the church of jesus christ, then it had latter day saint in it at some point. Are you talking about after his murder? I wanna get what you're saying...

The Mormons have been notorious for trying to 'change' history....I once loaned a book written by a mid-stream Christian author back in the 1970's to two Mormon missionaries. They were intent on 'converting' me...and took this upon themselves to see that I did so...
The book was about the Parables of Jesus, one in particular, about putting New WIne into Old Wine Skins....
These two missionaries literally harrassed me, even following me to work, to my home, to my school, and even to the parking lot of my church...
I almost had to call the cops on them for harrassing me....(we didn't have stalking laws then).
I asked for my book back...and a few weeks later, the book came back RE-BOUND with inserts from their OWN RELIGION fitted into the pages, to slant the book in their favor....
this was done with their 'bishop's blessing', they said...
I said, "well your BISHOP doesn't own this book...you need to buy me another!!" After that, I never heard from them again...
however...
nearly a hundred years earlier, a prominent woman from Salt Lake City attempted to write the story of her life with Brigham Young....she fled, literally to San Francisco, and her book was published...
It was called, "The 27th Wife", and told the story of what life was like in the Mormon world. It did not paint a very glowing picture of Brigham Young...and the mormon church at that time did all they could to suppress it....
in later years...many copies would be bought, and destroyed, or checked out of libraries and never returned...
It's a difficult book to find...I did find a copy and read it....and found that many of the books relating to the Mormons, particularly the Mountain Meadow Massacre stories, have been largely sequestered...
So, if someone questions why some Mormon 'articles' are at risk of destruction, I think I personally know the answer...
THEY don't WANT THE TRUTH TO BE KNOWN...
their whole church is built on a sham...
In fact...it is remarkable just how alike Joseph Smith and Mohammed were...
just google that sometime...Joseph Smith Mohammed...and look at the similarities...
although the mormons haven't resorted to suicide bombing yet....they did believe in honor killings...and have done so throughout their existence...
They truly are sheeple.

yes...he claimed they were made of gold....and he also claimed that they were written in Egyptian heiroglyphics...and that they miraculously translated into King James English from Egyptian...
It was later discovered that much of the nonsense he said he translated turned out to be bits and pieces of Greek, Hebrew, and parts of a Mexican Calendar!!
He also incorporated into the Mormon religion masonic rites...which are nearly word for word out of their rituals book...
right down to the "hail lucifer stuff", no kidding.

Brigham Young was constantly getting new visions...because he needed to keep the masses together...the Apache's were attacking them...so, he had this vision from God that if they all wore the magic underwear that the church was selling through the Zion Mercantile Store....(ZCMI), that they would not be pierced by the arrows the Indians shot at them....unfortunately, his vision was as flimsy as the muslin cloth the undies were made of...
I guess some people want to buy into that baloney, and run with it...
but...
Utah has one of the highest child abuse rates in the whole US....
so much for family values...

it gets better. He claimed they were written in "reformed egyptian". The funny thing is, we have no evidence of a written language in any south american jungle by archaeologists, and no evidence whatsoever of reformed egyptian in the world. about the time that joseph smith was writing the book of mormon, we were on the verge of cracking the rosetta stone, so we could read egyptian. He didnt know that.

I give brigham young all the props in the world for common sense and pure charisma as it pertained to leading people, and settling the crap hole of a salt flat called utah. In my opinion, he deserves more credit for bringing the saints to utah and settling this harsh terrain. On the subject of revelations tho, I always felt as a mormon he said some of the stupid crap he said now and again because he was following the great joseph smith, a prophet that rivaled the revelations of moses, and he suffered by comparison. What I came to realize, is he was a great settler, and thats all. HE certainly was no prophet of god, based on some of his worldly biases of the time that god would certainly not inspire him to reveal.

Yes, Christ was guilty (in the eyes of the Judeo Law) of being the Son of God.

Joseph was full of it...and Brigham Young was ridiculously full of it too...Notice how there hasn't been any revelations since the fraud Joseph Smith. Every supposed revelation since then have been revelations to change what Joseph started. Blacks and the Priesthood, Polygamy, Changes in BOM, etc. etc.

~~ I don't think this is even close to an accurate comparison.

Do a Google search for "Joseph Smith Lied" and I think you will find a difference.

~~ what isn't clear is why Joseph Smith would want us to believe the claim that "GOD" helped to him "translate" the "modified Egyptian" hieroglyphics into what amounts to the year "1611" King James Bible language that wasn't in common ordinary use in 1830; unless it was because he also wanted to "cover-up" the plagiarized part of the King James version Bible that was included in the Book of Mormon (along with the translation error found in the KJV Bible).
