WOW!!i think i hit a nerve! Now for the third time,I would like to Know?.What fire district was represented at the town board meeting when a tax waiver for the new pumper tanker was requested.And was a motion made and passed by the Fire Commissioner's of district#1.To pay 12,500.00 or so tax dollars for the new pumper tanker that was leased by the Harpursville Fire CO, LLC.At the town board meeting it was stated NO TAX DOLLARS would be used to pay for the pumper tanker.All the money would come from fund raising,period!.
a) Editors can't remove people's posts - All I can do is add or remove news stories. And I only remove stuff that is not relevant to Harpursville.
b) I was at the open meeting of the town - if you weren't there,you have nothing to say about it - IT WAS A PUBLIC MEETING.
c) There eas nothing charged to the town. The only vote was for a letter to the bank financing the new pumper-tanker, so as to get a slightly lower interest rate because we are a community fire department.
If you think something else happened, why not get a copy of the minutes of that meeting from the town?
Unless, of course, you just want to bloviate endlessly without actually getting facts.
