What's the best tanning lotion to use for a quick dark tan? I've asked at Sun Tan City recently and didn't really get a good answer. Just a lot of hype wanting to sell me a combination of things. I was so confused I didn't buy anything...

I've heard that the best are the ones that have, I think that it's called tingle factor, in them. It's something tingle. I've never used it, so I don't know much of it. I've still kept my base tan, so I don't need a really good lotion to keep mine. I'll tell you a secret....sometimes when I was on antibiotics, I would lay in the tanning bed, and my tan was so much more intense. You're not suppose to lay while taking antibiotics, but I did just once during the duration to see better results.

Thanks for the info road rage!! I've heard some meds can cause light sensitivity. I'm so light I would probably burn in that case though. Someone told me the Snooki lotion is pretty good also...I may try it and see.

I have a fair complexion and have found bronzing beds better than regular tanning beds. They tan rather than burn you.

I like tickled pink & one that Australian gold makes; I can't remember the name, but it is in an odd shaped; almost rounded pink bottle, it has a mild bronzer & a tingler.
Have you ever considered a spray tan? I got one last summer & loved it, medium dark; it lasted approximately 3 months, through showers & swimming almost every day.

I've been doing the spray tans at Sun Tan City and they barely last a week. They tried to sell me some extender but I don't think it would make it last that much longer. I definitely think the bronzer beds do better also. My tan just never lasts and I don't really ever get dark though.

Where did you get your spray tan? Are there more than one place in our area?

spray yourself down with wd-40..that will heat you up good in the tanning bed..plus take care of any squeaks you have.

Are you talking about lotions that tan you after you apply it to your skin, or lotions that help you to tan better in a tanning bed?

Try the spray tan at Ghostbusters. It seems to last longer and is much cheaper than Sun Tan City.I've also used the Snooki bronzer and it gives a real good color and smells amazing.Hope this helps.

Kayla,

Sun Tan City sells some great products but they are pretty expensive. Most of the time you can get the same stuff online at Amazon for cheaper. Anyways, use a dual bronzer for a quick, dark tan. The cosmetic bronzers make you tan instantly, and the delayed bronzer (DHA) shows up after a few hours. Double bronzing power! Check out JWOWW 50X - it's a dual bronzer for $25 from Amazon.
