Not only was he a good friend, and a great teacher, he was also family. This "kid" as ya'll keep calling him is also wanted for other crimes that were just a prelude to murder in Laredo Texas. The criminal's friends and family can try all they want to discredit John's name and memory in this forum, but in the end his "adult" flesh will smell the same on it's way to hell !

I am not a moran. I could be a moron, but I don't think so.

I really don't know why we prosecute murder. Milliona of helpless Americans have been killed in the womb. Where are their rights? We can see fit to give rights to AlQueda fighters in Club Gitmo. We can see fit to give rights to illegal immigrant babies born on US soil. But for Americans not yet out of the mother there are no rights.

We are a nation of killers masquerading as doctors. Help us all.

John may have been a homosexual, for all I know he may have come on to him. BUT, I know why that kid was over there. John was helping him out...he needed to be taken care of, the kid had prior offenses in a different town, wasn't being supported and was supposedly on probation. John also was known for being EXCEPTIONALLY friendly...that can be interpreted the wrong way when the person is a teacher and is homosexual.
We all have feet of clay.
The student went as far as stealing his check book, wallet, laptop and car, binding John, and stabbing him multiple times in the neck
No one should be judging.
Those who preach right and wrong should do so evenly.
well some people thinks different but it sounds like this john had some interest in the boy yea maybe he was helping him out but then again he might of did something to the boy and the boy felt scare or confuse! COME ON PEOPLE EVERYBODY HAS SKELETONS IN THERE CLOSETS! i believe this teacher tried to have sexual relationship hell look at the news today teachers having SEX with their own students!

THE TEENS LIFE IS OVER,HE WILL BE IN THE CAN FOR A LONG TIME,WON'T SEE A LIGHT OF DAY EXCEPT IN THE PRISON YARD.IF HE KILLED HIM CAUSE HE'S HOMOSEXUAL.WELL THE TEEN IS GONNA BE IN FOR A BIG SURPRISE,HE WILL BE "FRESH MEAT" AND HE WILL BE RAPED AND SODOMIZED IN PRISON BY A LONLEY CELLMATE,AND THE LEADER OF THE GANG WILL GET HIS FIRST SHOT IN RAPING HIM.THE TEEN WON'T TALK,CAUSE IF HE TALKS,HE WILL BE A TARGET FOR MURDER IN PRISON,THE INMATE WILL TAKE AWAY HIS DIGNATY,IF HE SNITCES HE WILL EITHER BE "SHACKLED OR A 25LPS POUND WEIGHT ACROSS HIS HEAD IN THE WEIGHT ROOM"
HE WILL HAVE HIS FOOD TAKING AWAY FROM OTHER INMATES,IF HIS FAMILY HAS MONEY HE WILL BE EXTORTED.SO LIFE IN HELL IS JUST STARTING FOR HIM.WE WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO FRESH MEAT,I HOPE HE COMES TO OUR PRISON UNIT.

John Farr was a bully. He was a mean and unforgiving man. When I heard about his murder, frankly I was not surprised that his death would be at the hands of a student that he probably humiliated. I do not wish to be cold-hearted. No one deserves to be murdered, however, I can see how this happened. I too was belittled and embarrased by John Farr when all I wanted to do was do what I fell in love with, drama. I was in a play called "Pippin" directed by John Long. I was fairly new to theatre, but decided it was good for me. Theatre would help me define who I was, but alas I was critically wounded by his cruelty. John Farr would only treat people with "a little respect" if they had talent or popularity. He was one of those types of teachers that favored only his "go to students". I used to wonder if he just used them too to get to the top of the theatre world, probably because he himself never made it in acting, kind of like one of his plays he directed "Gypsy", and he was the mom who wanted the big fame, but never made it so she used her daughters to fulfill her void in life. There is no talent in making students all they are through fear and intimidation which is exactly what John Farr would do. He would say nasty horrible things to students who were working for free just to bring some joy to a small crowd. He should never have been a teacher, maybe a football coach but not a theatre teacher. Maybe he would still be alive today if this were the case. I would tell him these things today myself now that I have grown up and am a bit braver than that scared teen just trying to find herself. I gaurentee that I am not the only person that this man treated with such disrespect that would want to say such things as I am writing now. I am not saying he deserved what he received, but this is a prime example of karma, what goes around comes around. John Farr bullied me. He bullied other students. In the end, someone bullied him too.
