so a oil sands pipeline ruptured in Arkansas on Friday. Possibly from a tremor caused by New Madrid Fault Line? Remember the quake that happened in Whitesburg last year? Maybe its a bout to come a big one!

here's a link about the pipeline break, i'm against these kind of pipelines personally, especially the keystone xl right smack dab in the middle of TWISTER country!

An earthquake did not do this. Nowhere in this article does it mention an earthquake. Nor has any news agency said as much. Are you perhaps trying to instill fear in the masses?

I agree with Barney Gimble, no earthquake!
I live near Mayflower where the pipe line ruptured,I haven't heard anything from the local news stations either about any earth quake. Try KARKTV.COM , KTHV.COM to see what they have to say about this pipe line, they're the Little Rock Arkansas stations that covers the news for that area. All the people who don't want the pipe lines, must like walking everywhere they go, I Myself prefer to ride so keep the pipe lines flowing.

What do you hope to accomplish by calling someone a name, that type of behavior only shows you don't want valid information on what happened. I am not a sucker, because as I gave you a source to confirm my point of view, you on the other hand, gave out an opinion with no facts, people who go with opinions are the real suckers. You have the right to have your own opinion, but not your own set of facts. Enjoy your long walks they are healthy for you and will give you time to reconsider your point of view.

I saw the videos on youtube, how can you still support these pipelines after this? There will be more ruptures, and more life will end. I'll bet you don't like to walk because you are morbidly obese, you are in AR after all; I understand it must be hard on your joints. I feel the same way about people here still supporting coal after the devastation mining has wreaked on our home, some people are just slow learners I guess.

You remind me of the lady on TV that saw it on the internet and it must be true. Things happen all the time to cause death and mayham, car wrecks, and the likes, this doesn't stop people from driving, there are certain risks to just waking up in the morning yet we do this daily.
You insist on attacking me with words to somehow justify your opinion, a sure sign your position is not based on facts, just personnal feelings. Please tell me how we are supposed to fuel our vehicles, generate electricity, and heat our homes if we do away with oil, coal, and nuclear energy. complaints without a solution is whining, so what do you suggest we replace the oil with?

If you hate oil so BAD. Then why dont you park up your car? Try WALKING to work for a change. Or at the very least why dont you stop driving around for leisure or to get to the local store, restaurant? How about it? Hypocrite! That oil spill was a DIRECT result of YOUR DEMAND FOR OIL! Thats right you DEMAND oil. And then when something goes wrong you act like some great earth loving philanthropist.. LAUGHABLE!

How do you know I drive a car? Sounds like you have a guilty conscience and you're trying to pass off some of the blame on everyone else. Are you one of these 400 pounders that have nightmares of burning calories? Probably. Just imagine this happening over and over again when/if keystone xl is completed when tornado season come around.

Please exlain to us all just how a tornado is a threat to an underground oil pipeline. Last tornado I went through only damaged things that were above ground. Do you know something the rest of us don't DOOFUS????

only portions will be buried. It also runs through a seismic zone with significant activity as recent as 2004, but most importantly runs above the ogallala aquifer, the lifeline of the midwestern ag. business and water source for about 5 million people. A spill there would cause the price of food to skyrocket, there would be riots!

We have pipelines through the area where I live. They've been here since the early 1950s. They run up and down hills, across creeks and rivers. There is no part of them that is above ground. They are buried very deep.

Well if ya dont have a car I would bet it's because either yer a junkie that has had their license revoked. Or you dont make enough money to buy one. Which is it?

No ONE and I mean NO one would walk to work and walk whenever they need to get someplace just to save the environment. So dont even go there o.k.?

And I aint no 400 pounds. I dont weigh one ounce over oh... lets say 375lbs!

Seriously though. People like you really, really make me sick.

You act like you LOVE the Earth! You buy a pack of energy saving light bulbs and then pat yourself on the back and tell yourself that you are a great friend of mother nature. You expect the coal miners and oil rig workers to walk away from EVERYTHING and do without And then you turn on your computer and BURN COAL just to argue on topix. HA! HYPOCRITE!!!!

If you people did not DEMAND it. We would not produce coal and the oil production would cease also. Why do you think we produce these things? We dont work like mules for the fun of it Pal. We produce that coal and that oil Because people like you DEMAND that we do. You PAY US to mine it, drill it, pump it...

Don't want it mined? Don't want it pumped? Then dont use the products it provides!

Hmmmmm.

I may sound like Brother Rants from time to time. But there are some BIG differences between Gemini.

One - I KNOW that there is a God and I fear him with a fear you could never fathom.

Two - I aint sensative like ole Rants. I have NEVER threatened to go to the D.A becuase someone hurt my feelings on topix.. Nor have I ever campainged for votes on topix lol

Three - I love Harlan County. Jim hates it.

Four - Jim loves huggy kissy movies like the Note Book. But with me it's the bloodier the better.

Five - I am a dang lot more handsome than ole big and ugly Jim.

Six - I am way more intelligent than Jim. But not near as arrogant.. HA!

And last but not least. Jim (A supposed geophsysicist) attempts to communicate with ROCKS! But me?.. I mine'em.

So see? There are several differecnes between Gemini.

Well dadgummit you got me on tht one I should apoligize for comparing anyone to Rants. That rascal believes we come from monkeys, tadpoles or something to that effect. Ilike the guy, but i'm starting to think the guy is a fruitcake. I also believe he believes in that devilish reincarnation nonsense. In saying that he aint half-bad for a atheistic, foul mouthed, harlan hating heathen! You have a good one as well.
