I personally wasn't fond of him so I refused to see him during my pregnancy. He has had a hand on a lot of stillborn and miscarriages.

I've also knew of him having a lot of problems with miscarriages and still borns. From what I've heard, he doesn't seem to worry about a lot of things that need attention. I know three people personally that have either had a still born or miscarriages with him being their doctor. Not trying to scare you or anything, just telling you my opinion. Dr. Amro is a GREAT doctor if you consider checking with another one. Good luck!

He is a great Dr. I've had two c-sections and he did both of them. He caught problems during the pregnancy that the other Dr. didn't that saved my babies.

His trouble in West Virginia tells me all I need to know. I personally wouldn't go to him.

Just because he prescribed narcotics to a few people doesn't have anything to do with delivering a baby. Also a doctor can not cause a miscarriage, they just happen! I have had a few myself. And how do you get that he 'caused' the baby's to be still born? Please explain. Because their is ' hear say' about every doctor out there.

Wait, look at Amro's background. He is only 33 years old and hasn't graduated yet! Go to the site posted on here and see for yourself. I don't wanna go to someone who is pretty much new in his practice.:-| I went to him once for a pap, I thought he looked pretty young but not that young?

Dr. Amro done a c section on my sister and done a great job. I don't care how old he is, I have went to him and had family and friends go to him. I have yet to hear anything bad about him. Unlike most doctors, he will actually set down and answer your questions and explain stuff to you. I love Dr. Amro!!! I would recommend him to anybody. Just look at all the post about Mcmurray. I have NEVER heard anything good about him. As a person he might be alright, but as a doctor, he doesn't seem very reliable.
By the way, were not saying he caused miscarriages or still borns, e just doesn't keep a good enough watch on his patients. I have a friend that went to him and he done one ultrasound during her whole pregnancy. The baby was born with a lot of problems and almost died when it was born. I'm not saying he could have prevented the problems, but if he had actually done more than one ultrasound then the problems would have been seen and try could have been better prepared for them.

He was my doctor and he was horrible. He couldn't ever remember what I was having after numerous visits; he gave me flu meds that made him stop moving; he induced me and me/my son was allergic to the putussin and his heart rate dropped and he let it be like that for 4 hours; etc; etc; If you want to know anything else just reply.

Thank you all for your comments! I agree, everyone has something negative to say about every doctor out there. I heard some things about Mcmurry and just wanted to hear other stories. But all I have heard is 'he caused miscarriages, he gives narcotics, he delivered still borns' ect.. Prescribing narcotics is his job to a woman in pain after giving birth! Even if he done it in the past for people he shouldn't have that still doesn't have nothing to do with delivering a baby. The people for taking it and/or abusing it was at fault also! And no doctor can 'cause' a miscarriage, I have had 2 myself and things like that just happen! Also a doctor can not cause you to have a still born, it happens also, I'm sure he tried his best to do what he could. A lot of people just want someone\something to blame. Thanks for all the comments positive and negative though! I'm going to continue seeing him, he's been good to me so far.:-)

If he has been so good to you why have you questioned his abilities? Oh and yes he can lend a helping hand in miscarriages and still births when he neglects things. He is very careless and forgetful during routing gyno visits. There is no way I would let him lay a hand on me as a OB. You asked and people gave opinions. Just because it's not a positive feedback doesn't mean they are looking for someone to blame. It means they have had a traumatic experience and they are trying to prevent it from happening to someone else.
