Ok I just finished watching atleast a 100 hrs. Of film and this is what I think:
Cooper is a fast team and well trained not to many mistakes . The qb is the back bone he is 5 10 170 to 80lbs. He can run, roll, and throw very well he has 3 recivers that could catch anything throwed at them and not afraid to go up ,dive and fast.
The leading rusher is ok a little small about the same size as qb but comes in at about. 210 lbs and if they catch the d playing off rb and qb will make you pay both are fast.
D looks really good and have the ok to change the d from the line without the coach telling them to.they have been trained to read the o and adjust .
Lineman not really big but know how to do their jobs very well watched one game and they were playing a biger team and seemed to have no problem with moving the line the final score was 24 14 .with somthing like 360 yards passing and no runing at all .
With this said I think harlan will win I'm not saying it will easy but they are coming to harlan and that alone helps
Plus harlan is hungry real hungry .
If harlan comes out and creams that qb a few times and not give him time in the pocket and not let him roll stay on top of recivers and no mistakes .that will slow down their o.
Bears o will have to come out like going to war and keep doing what they are doing and not let up untill its over o yea NO MISTAKES.
Go bears.

Black bears win in a close hard fought war, and advance to their first state title game.....Cooper is almost a mirror image of HC if you look at the stats, i think HC defense has a slight edge, plus still not sure they will stop the strong rushing of the bears...

I'm a Harlan fan and graduate of Cawood, so I say this with all due respect to my school. But Harlan and Cooper are not mirror images of each other. There is a major difference. Harlan's schedule is nowhere near what Cooper's is, and that will make a major difference. Cooper plays tough teams almost every single week, where Harlan has too many games against teams from VA.

This is exactly like it was back in the day when Cawood would go into the playoffs 9-1 and ranked Top 5 in the state, and get blown out in the first round by Cov. Catholic who was 4-6 and not even ranked.

I hope Harlan pulls it off. And I know they can. But if I have to be honest, I believe this is where the difference in schdules comes into play.

I really hope that harlan don't put every thing on the run because that d at cooper will stop it if that's all we do going to have to spread the d out and throw not bombs but 5 10 15 yards will back them down some .
Their backs are allover the run most teams that would try on them faild and a couple left the game with negative rushing yards .anouther top 10 team thought they had the best) in the state got only 80yards on them .
The team that beat them and ones who keep it close was throwing ,runing ,and no huddle they would have to call 5 to 6 played at a time and call the play at the line just to try to stop that adjusting d .
I still think harlan can do it like I said it will be war harlan boys need to go head hunting take care of their qb and watch those recivers .and just try their best to beat that d down hard blocks and Brut force .

100 hours of film of who? Not of Cooper. 100 hours of film is 50 games. Cooper has barely played that many games in the history of their program. You'd have to be watching film from at least 5 years ago to see 100 hours of film on us.

Actually they are, because what i am talking about is their style of play not their schedule. look at the stats and you will see a huge resemblence of these two teams, i was comparing the style not scheduling.

Copied from BGR:

Very interesting matchup...

Both schools are only 5 years old.

Cooper is 26-28
Harlan County is 49-15

I'd expect a very well coached, disciplined team coming from NKY from Friday.

Harlan County has 5,500 yards of offense
Cooper has 4,400 yards of offense

Harlan County has allowed 2,600 yards of offense
Cooper has allowed 3,100 yards of offense

SOS:

Cooper's Opponents are 76-77
Harlan County's Opponents are 70-81
