I saw a train, an ambulance, and a police car. I saw someone on a stretcher next to the track covered in a while cloth. I don't know what happen or who it was. I have heard of them sometimes covering people to keep them warm. You can come to your own conclusion. Like I said, I don't know ANYTHING other than what I saw.

Was standing in line at Rax and an EMS guy ran to the counter and asked if his food was ready they had to get to a girl hit by a train. All I can say is try not to get hurt during their lunch hour because of course food is more important...

I was not the only one standing there and heard this, I have no reason to start trouble with them. Just found it insane they would ask for their food before leaving..

My husband manages and EMS company here where we live and if he heard something like that had happened that medic wouldn't have enough money to eat at RAX anymore cause he would lose his job no questions ask. Here they come back after their call and their food is remade fresh for them. Part of the job is not knowing when you will eat next!

I was there at the accident ems was there in less then 10 minutes now I don't know if they where at tax or not but I think coming from Harlan up 72 to the end in less then 10 minutes is a quick time the little girl needs prayers

Depends on if the EMS is still run from Elcomb or not. I know there used to be one there, don't know if they moved or relocated.

Sounds like they were, I was just saying that 10 minutes being fast is relevant as to where they came from. Hope the young lady is ok and will keep her and her family in my prayers.

My question is who eats at Rax anymore? Their food has really gone downhill over the past several years.

yeah, i know how the ambulance works to. thanks for all they do. wanted to say that first.
missing a meal to save a life is much much more important. the food will be there.
a few years back a man was having a heart attack at a coal mines and the ems driver pulled up ( not in a rush ) with a cigar in his mouth.
the helicopter was already there and had the patient loaded, ready to leave.
this is a fact.
they need to take every call very serious.

hope this person involved is going to be alright.
God Bless
