people all the coal jobs are out west, they say the coal is easy to mine and they get more of it than here because there stripping. they still want coal from here because it burns hotter than most, but they use it in these steel plants plus the coal here is dirty. obama has put the pressure on the EPA and the FEDS to shut down the eastern coalfields operations. thats why were getting so many grants in the vocational schools to get degrees in other fields. but personaly im to old to change professions but if youre a young miner my advice is to go out west or south to alabama until we get a replubican in office.

I never post on these sites cause their foolish and it just feeds the idiots but these morons that dog these miners are probably the fools that sit on their arses and draw a check and has never hit a lick at anything other than running to the store to cash their sorry check , then straight to the drug dealers house to beat the door down to get their next fix. Say what you want , idiots, if you were successful men then you would not been here bashing our coal miners. Stop hating cause you don't have what we have. Just cause you can't get a job cause you can't pass a drug test plus you're too sorry to ow your grass. Without these coal mines you'd be up the creek, they are what pays your sorry check,
Respond of you want, idk!! I won't be back to read dumbarses comments cause they don't make my day to read what idiots we have in this town.
Just a bunch of lazy underachievers who are to lazy to work and can't stand those who do.

Some may hate coal and some may not. Fact is wind and solar power cant produce enough to replace the 50% of electricity produced from coal. Without coal electric prices would skyrocket and they mite even have to limit electricity usage

coal is a energy product.and it will always have its usages.but are their a better way .yes for some but for others no. that's why it will always have its place in this world.and you will always have them who fight to get rich off it.then after they are rich ,what do they have just more headaches.that they will die into.what a dull life.

I am proud of President Obama for standing his ground against the republicans. Just think how much better off this country would be if the republicans had worked with him instead of against him.

Yes they may be a better way, but its not ready right now. As to those getting rich from coal. Why does anyone work or buy lottery tickets or go to medical school or law school. It certainly not to get poorer. The coal industry is one of the most taxed, if only the gov't would use the coal taxes wisely instead of wasting them on freebies
