on three cruises and they are great. I would suggest looking on the cruiseline websites, like Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Disney, Celebrity, etc. You can search dates, prices, ports and places where the ship goes. You can leave from Norfolk, VA and Charleston, SC now, but actually the cruises from Florida are cheaper because more leave from there I guess. I would love to go on another one. I got a poodle about five years ago and I have just went places like the beach since then where I can rent a pet friendly place and take her with me. Pets are not allowed on cruise ships. But I really need to start boarding her at the vets every now and then, get her used to it and take another cruise.

I checked out some sites. They didnt seem to be really too high. Are you on the ship the whole time? If we got on at florda The cost of the flight from here to florda would be seperate from the cruise right? What are some fair prices. I wouldnt want to be over charged. ty for your help.

The flight would be seperate unless you go through Expedia or one of those travel sites, which would be worth checking. The best price can be gotten by either booking super early, like a year in advance, or booking last minute for cabins that did not sell. Carnival guarantees the best price if you go through them other than a cruise travel site. If you have the flexibility to go last minute, booking a last minute special, that is a good way to save money. All food is included except alcohol. Some cruise lines also charge for pop. Some have specialty restaurants aboard which charge, but those aren't worth the extra since the food served that is included is really good. When you get off the ship at the stops, there are shore excursions you can book on the ship. These are best because if you book it with the cruise line and they are late getting back they have to wait for you. If you go off on your own they won't wait. I have seen people get left. That would be awful. You also have to make sure that you stay with the group and be back at the bus or whatever early so you don't get left. There can be several ships docked and lines to get on each at the various stops so always ask an attendant to make sure you are in the correct line. You also have to make sure you set your watch at ships time because that is the time they go by. Prices can go up or down as availability increases or decreases also.
