Materials & Workmanship of Centex Homes in the Skipcha Mountain area not good.

Happy New year!
My house was built by Centex Homes in 2003. I purchased this home in 2005. I have already had to do numerous repairs. For one, the paint they use has faded in just 4 years. The biggest project just completed was the wood around the chimney. You need to check the condition of the wood around your chimney asap. The problem I had was that water had been leaking down the sides of the chimney from the roof. I could not see that but noticed the wood around the chimney warping. Upon further investigation, the wood was wet and rotten on the inside. I replaced the wood to prevent any mold. I just can't believe the condition of my Centex Home in just 4 years. This was my first home and I did not know the quality. Now I do, and as an educated consumer, will inform others to be more cautious and careful when purchasing a Centex Home. V/r
