I called freedom urgent care to find out what I needed to have to be seen on Saturday . The receptionist told me that I only needed a photo ID and that the office accepted tricare . I asked specifically if I needed a referral and was told "no" and just to bring my photo ID. When arriving first thing Saturday , now the office receptionist tells me that I must have a referral . It's now the weekend , all doctors offices are closed . I can not pay the varying $150-$260 bill that freedom urgent care asks . I am now going to the emergency room to wait endlessly in excruciating pain . Freedom associates ate heartless and greedy . They make false promises under the hopes that you have no alternatives but to pay them this outrageous fee .
Still wondering

Seriously ? You want to blame a Healthcare Facility for your lack of knowledge. I have Tricare and know what is needed to be seen when I go to other facilities. They give you this information when you get the insurance. It is up to us as the policy holders to understand what is covered by our insurance and what is not, if referrals are necessary we are supposed to get them.
You know that you need more than an ID to be seen, you just wanted to try to get over on someone. You also knew you needed a referral.
Take responsibility for your lack of knowledge

I received care there yesterday(if thats what they call it), and will NEVER return there or recommend to anyone. Everyone was rude other than the receptionist, that took my money. Called today to complain to the owner, and she could have cared less. If ever I have an emergency again... I would rathr wait next time 6hrs at MetroPlex to receive care. WOW
Finally feeling good

Thank you Freedom Urgent Care for being so easy to access. I had a migrane headach and could not find a place to get help, I was seen so fast and the doctor Lajawawa was so kind to me. he had his nurse give me some medicine and it made me feel so much betrter. he even told me of some way to help not get migranes. they went out of their way to make me feel better, pillow, blankets and a nice place to rest until i could go home pain free

I have seen him several times, you don't know what you are talking about. He probably didn't give you what you wanted and are mad.

Good Luck with Metroplex. I've been there, yikes! I've been to Freedom for various problems and they always seemed quite professional. In fact, a friend of mine now works there. She says one of their bigger problems is the people that come in who say they have headaches or fibramialgia and other pain stuff but they are looking for narcotics. These patients are usually upset when they find they cant get their "fix." Have fun at metroplex.

I paid my copay of 75$ because my son had stick something in my nose. The doctor said he could see it but wouldn't take it because he didn't want to hurt him then told me to go to the ER. 75Dollars for an opinion...seems outrageous to me.

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Pisces

Your mind is razor sharp today, making it easy to reach decisions and put your thoughts into words. Make the most of this articulate and brainy phase, especially if that means taking part in a discussion or putting your ideas down on paper. If you need to defend your opinions you'll manage to do so without sounding aggressive or dictatorial.
