Well, selling CD's OBVIOUSLY deserves the death penalty in Texas.

We only give 20 years for that here in New York.

Let me say tho, that if these bouncers did in fact kill this man, then I hope they are charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Including the death penalty if it is in fact warranted in this case.

I do not believe in assaulting and/or murdering people and that was certainly not the impression I was trying to give with my above posts.

My condolences to his loved ones.

You know this isnt the first time the bouncers beat the hell out of a guy. I am surprised that it wasnt a soldier. They usually pick on soldiers who has had one too many.

Ernies has always been a rough house place. I won't be surprised when on eof the bouncers arrested flips on ernie and says he told them to do it. Bye bye ernies sports bar. If the cops dont keep them shut down then TABC will. Looks like its Jackpot or Sidelinez for everyone now.

Look, let me apologize. I was very flippant above and should not have been. We are all humans, sinful, and we all make mistakes.

The MURDER of another human being is never justified. My condolences to the family and his loved ones.

I hope they apprehend the perpetrators and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law including the death penalty if justified.

I'm sorry.

i agree murder is a terribe thing and should be punished but let me say that this is not a murder case i had just pulled up with my girlfriend and her friend and saw the whole thing they were trying to get him to leave i couldnt hear anything we were to far away, but they were only trying to get him on the ground and to stop resisting they didnt beat him to death the guy could have had a heart attack or something i mean he was a big guy at least 300 pounds we dont know and shouldnt attack without knowing my condolonces too to his family

My husband is stationed at Ft Hood and we go to Ernie's a lot...I can't believe this happened there. It's such a fun club, and the staff was always really friendly. Even the bouncers...my husband's friend was really drunk one night and they kicked him out, but they weren't trying to fight him or anything. They just told my husband that he had to leave and I closed his tab, and they walked us out. Honestly, I have a hard time believing that this wasn't an accident. The post above mine made a good point. If he really was that heavy maybe there were other factors that lead to his death.

Last week at the Valero station right close to Hood Road and Rancier a guy in the parking lot with a little back pack was going up to gas customers to sell CDs. They were probably stolen. It's a good cash business.

I'm not suprised at all that this happened. People are treated very unfair at Ernie's. If you are one of the regulars then you have the right to do whatever you want there. If you are an out of towner then the locals pick on you and then Ernie will blame you and kick you out. Ernie has a huge ego and it appears that he thrives on controlling people's fun. It's very sad that someone lost their life because of the pathetic, controlling way that bar is run. I hope Ernie's is shut down for good!

First off, thank you to all who support ernie's and the staff. Secondly, there is no reason to bash the bar, owner, or staff because of a "he said/she said" situation. Nobody knows the complete story, therefore, no assumptions should be made. Do you not have anything better to do with your time than worry about an incident you have nothing to do with? Again, thank you to those who are not passing judgement and being supportive. Many people are asked to leave the bar, including locals, after they consume too much alcohol. I DO NOT think that the floormen of ernie's woke up and said I think I'll end someone's life tonight. I too give my condolences to the victim's family.

As the victims's neighbor, I know that Kev was a bro trying to expose people to music that he believed could bring all of us together. His murder deminishes us all.For him to die, shortly after his 33rd birthday, leaving parents, a brother, children, friends and fans to grieve and mourn, don't for a moment think he was a theif selling stolen CDs. Kev was a big man, loving, caring and compassionate. Whatever his faults, he did NOT deserve to die like a dog in the street.

I WAS NOT AT THE BAR BUT GO THERE QUITE FREQUENTLY AND I THINK ALL THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE WAS CALL THE POLICE AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY ASKED THE GUY TO LEAVE AND HE WOULDNT; NOT JUMP HIM AND KILL THE POOR GUY! I WILL NO LONGER TAKE MY BUSINESS THERE NOR SIDELINES AS THEY LET MINORS IN THAT BAR AND DRINK AND DRIVE. MY FRIEND WAS KILLED BY A KID THAT LEFT THAT BAR, HE LEFT BEHIND 3 KIDS. POOR MANAGEMENT AT BOTH BARS!
