That's what he needs to do, fetter someones access and then get sued for doing it. You people filed for an injunction for unfettered access and then want to hold him responsible. Don't think so. But don't you wish!

You'll notice however, that at this point, Clifton claims he is the one responsible for providing security to the park. If what you say is true, then at this time you need to take your concerns up with him.
Again, hurting your own cause, madam posse president.

The fruit is sticky like and thick, more so than apple butter, when you finish processing it. I found the best way is to put them in a large bowl and carefully rinse, over and over, drain.
I have a little contraption I can't remember the name of, but, it is the size of a cup with holes all over in it, with a double attached handle, and a round flat piece that goes into the cup. I put about 8 of the fruit into it, and press the handle down, scrape the fruit off the outside into another dish. It is easier than it looks.
There are a lot of seeds in a little persimmon. The press I have is stainless steel.
I fill freezer containers, about a pint size, and freeze. They keep for a long time. I don't keep anything frozen past a couple years. Don't know how good after that.
I tried several ways to strain before this one. It is the best way for me. If you have persimmon trees and want to do this, go to Ace Hardware and describe the tool, they either have or order anything. Unless WalMart has them.
I imagine you can find lots of recipes on the internet for persimmons, if not, I can post some.
Hope this was not TMI. Too much info!
Tnx. D.J.I love persimmons.I am allowin every persimmon tree to grow on my place.I noticed some folks want to cut them down.I havse plenty ,and a couple wild pear.Tnx. again...

No, Renee, I don't think it's like that. If so, why would you even need people at the gate, stopping us to make sure we are property owners before we go in??? We are screened, just not "fettered." But, that doesn't seem to make any boundaries in your mind, anyway.

We are always checked out at the gate, but, now, it is in a respectable manner, when they see who we are, they wave us in...before, we got hassled about something every time. Sometimes, just not allowed in.

Get the facts straight, Renee. Maybe, one of the people there invited them in, let them in, then they didn't want to be bothered to let them out, and told them to wait and someone would come by and let them out. Wouldn't be the first time.

It is stil being done, same as always, and you want people to think we are causing problems. NO one is ever allowed in the park without permission. If they didn't know them, the security wouldn't let them in. Used to be that way. Judge didn't change that.

You're welcome. We used to have more, but, the best one right by the house, we had to cut down. Chuck is very allergic to wasps, and they loved our persimmons. So we only have the ones further out in the yard. Don't need a bunch, unless you are giving them away, or making enough cookies for a cookie factory. LOLOL

I think,I would do like Dora says,as soon as you can get them the better off for you..
Like someone said, bees, wasps, yellow jackets, spiders, possum, and other animals love to have a feast, plus the smell brings in other animals...
You ask you Mom and Dad how good the pudding is,or some say cakes, never had them.
Any true hillbilly has eat lots of persimmon fruit..
I use to smoke a pipe, paid big bucks for it,and it was made from persimmon wood.

take it from me nothing will eat persimmo0ns in our part of the country, until after a frost. They are not ripe until after frost. Up till then, they make your mouth pucker where you can't talk.

Well, take it from me, or not, right now, the deer and I are eating persimmons, and they are fine. In the fall, here in Hardy, right now, the persimmons are ripening and falling, and they are very ripe. The same every year for 14 years, that I know of. There will be tons fall after the first frost, but in the meantime, the deer and I will enjoy the free fall. No pucker here.

Up here in yankee landmwe have already had several frost, but no trees like that.
Any way,I have to go mulch up about a thousand gallons of leaves for mulch..

What has this statement to do with the price of tea in China? Really, Renee..it doesn't even makes sense. Cheryl claims she let a person out who could not tell her his block and lot number. That is not a POA problem, or an unfettered access problem. It is the person who claims to be providing security at this time's problem, because he failed to secure the area. Not the POA's fault. I'm fairly certain that none of the board went up there and let this guy in so that he'd need to be let out.

Best to let this one die..there's no way to spin it where the POA is at fault here. Neither the board or POA members are up there manning the gate. If he was let in, without belonging there someone with those who claim to be current management are responsible for his being there. Not unfettered access granted to PROPERTY OWNERS by the judge. The judge didn't tell him CJ he couldn't prevent non owners from entering, but that he couldn't prevent owners from entering. The arguments presented here in this instance DO NOT hold water.

And you are so sure that he came in while the gate was being manned. Anyone could have let him in after hours. It's not occupied 24 hours a day.

As a matter of fact it isn't the Renee from Price Chopper. I have met her though. It is a name that when I was a child, it seemed that I was the only one in the world that it had been given to but now I see it quite often.

<quoted text>
How else would he have driven in? The gate is supposed to be locked when not manned...he'd have had to have a key to let himself in, in which case he would have simply let himself back out with the same key.

Hey, I'm only working with limited information here...either it happened while there was someone at the gate to let him in, or he had a key to get in. It's doubtful he had a key, or he'd have simply let himself back OUT. Or, the other possibility is that this didn't happen at all, but was a made up incident. Those are the 3 options. He didn't drive himself through a locked gate without a key, or else the gate would be knocked down. Is the gate knocked down? Wasn't Thursday...so it stands to reason, there was someone at the gate when this person came in, or it didn't happen.
