ok THE KEY what are you willing to do to keep the park open? you seem to know so much about what SHE is doing ,or do you want to just find something wrong with those that are willing to do something.if your as smart as you act on here see if you can without smart remarks.if not shut up
OK, John, a little explaning, since you don't seem to be aware of what is going on here.

The Key is what Karen started calling herself after pulling a fast one on po's and making new keys with instructions that noone who had not paid assessments could have them.

It is like throwing it in their faces, lol, look at me, I say who and who does not get a key. I AM THE KEY. It rather backfired when they found the keys were not security and everyone started buying their own, much cheaper than the $30 Karen said they had to pay.

Now, if you are wondering why this explaining, it is because if you know what she is, then you will know why she does.

Once again I am interjecting my thoughts. Being a property owner I just feel the need to do this occasionally -- I don't know why because it never does any good, guess it just makes me feel better.

Why in this whole wide world are we still butting heads with each other? You would think that since we are ALL adults we would be able to work together much better than this. As I have said in the past - "We are getting no where fast." There has to be some give and take from all sides. We can not all be pleased with everything but the majority should be more pleased than what they are. I read the posts most everyday and find it fasinating that this is still continuing at such a slow pace. It appears to me some people on here want to be the only people who feel they can take credit for the parks success. Well, I hope the same people know they will also have to take full responsibility for its demise. There have been people who have wanted to help from day one and have been ignored and/or slammed. There have been people who have been in "THE KNOW" agreeing with "THE FEW" who are making decisions for all and for some reason or another have decided they do not agree and have voiced their opinion. These are the people who are being slammed for speaking up. WHY? If someone feels something isn't right, I for one would like to know. Doesn't anyone else? Or do most prefer to just sit back and let happen whatever happens. I admire those who are taking a stand. Something is wrong or we would not have this controversy.

I also want to say I have no personal interest in the park anymore -- simply because I will not be camping there again. But I do not want it to fail. I grew up camping on that river all my life. I have great memories. I want others to have the same. But greed and power are taking over and that makes me sad.

To the BOARD,
When someone offers to VOLUNTEER their services they should NEVER be refused.

Isn't this Renee, who is offering her services, the same Renee who tried to have the park closed for violations the week before the Forth of July?
Isn't this Telissa who, is stating her opinion, the same Telissa who has sold or abandoned her lot?
Who's next, Wayne watkins, Clifton Johnson or Cheryl Ward.

Hi Telissa(heapsmartlady)Smith

Thanks so much for putting some perspective on this whole situation. Got it just about right, as far as I can see.

I would have put some "judgings" to that effect on your post, but, the little "goblins" who are never too busy, are fast at work with their little computers checking the judgments as fast as they can go.

You are right. People are trying so hard to get the board to share what is to be shared, and let the property owners have a chance to get in there and help, but, are turned off every step of the way.

There will be a judgment day. It will someday be a park for the people, and not have the roadblocks that were recently put in place to keep us from being participants in our own park.

Disappointing after all we had to endure with the old management, just to end up with pretty much the same thing, and no end in sight with this board not doing what should be done to ensure the park will be there for us. If they are doing that, they have a poor way of getting it across to the people who pay the bills.

Asking for a meeting is not a tragedy. It could help us all. People are pretty much agreeable and helpful, if they know what is going on.

The old "trust me" slogan that was going around the park when the old board was intact is still applicable. That is still what they are implying.
How long do we trust? Until there is no park? "Trust me" is wearing pretty thin.

Does no one in that park have the ability or care enough to try to get in there and find out why we are in limbo, waiting for WHAT!!

This is what is great about our wonderful few board members who are on the forum all the time.

I dunno, Dora, could Billy have spelled that big of a word. Most people don't know to put an "h" in it. Now someone with some medical background might know that. LOL, unless of course there is a tube of Preparation H handy to copy it from.

I have to say, Renee, it serves them right that you made this hilarious post, since your name was used to send the hemorrhoid one. I have a little problem with that word, myself. Don't have to use the stuff with the name on it. Thank God for dictionaries, right?

I think it's time to shut down the entertainment for today, got to do some important work, like clean house????!!!!

There are several "I"'s in Renee Petty, but more me me me.

She is the one that tried to get the park shut down. Pretty convenient that she tried to "check" on things the week of the fourth.

Wise lady. Seems like a dumbass to me. And no I am not Karen. Never have been. But whatever, Dora knows everything.

Pretty funny that she will still not admit that Renee only wanted to shut the park down. That would be good. Then no one would have anything to bitch about any more.

Poor Chuck.

You know, I have been trying to think of what should be done about your post. Ignore it, or respond.

So here goes. The response. It is typical of Karen to play the blame game.

Now, if the park is shut down, it will be because you did not get the permits, or lied about the water, or all of the above. They all apply. Now, maybe the reason is because you know you can't finish the deal with Clifton, and it is going to be out of the POA's hands, anyway. Good reason for you to play the blame game: Sit on your duffs and do nothing.

If you don't know how to do anything positive to keep the park open, why don't you admit it and share with the property owners, and maybe some of them would have some ideas.

I don't know and don't care what Renee did or didn't do, does or doesn't do. The responsibility for the running of the park isn't Renee's. It is the board's. A board that can't even interact with the property owners. A board that thrives on secrecy.

If you have your ducks in a row, you will do what needs to be done. Don't come in here and lay blame on someone else for something that couldn't have happened if your work had been done.

Well, it's sort of like this.

Basically, the current situation is that the ADEQ requires permits for the wastewater discharge in the park. Even though we don't have bathhouses, there is a pumper truck operating and it has been dumping into the septic systems at the bathhouses. This is not only not acceptable to the ADEQ, it will damage the pumps in the system resulting in the need for very costly repairs.

The permit that was operated under in 2007 and 2008 expired the end of December of 2008 and has not been renewed. The property owners were lied to on the forum by being told we did not need permits. Yet, the minutes of the meeting held on January 24th state that Karen, current board president, was given the task of the application process for the ADEQ. 6 months later it was not done and had things continued, it would have (and may still) resulted in very expensive repairs to the pumps if not replacing those pumps.

They only leased the property for 3 months and that lease is up. March 17th plus 3 months equals June 17th. In order to get the permit application approved, the applicant has to prove they have either deeds or a lease on the property. The lease must be for a term not shorter than the term of the permit and that is one year. They have not done that.

The POA will more than likely receive citations for the operating of the pumper truck in the park and disposing in the park without a permit and for dumping into an unapproved site. I'm sure the board will not tell the owners when that happens but it does not change the fact. These permits should have been applied for immediately. Had the board paid the $500.00 annual fee in December, when it was due, it could have been transferred. Perhaps it still can but it may need to be totally started over since it has expired.

The board failed in their responsibility to the ADEQ. There are also most of the terms of the settlement agreement that have not been met.

Ask yourself this: If Clifton holds deeds to the property and has loans on those properties; and if the settlement agreement of November 18th 2008 states that the POA will take over the loans and the control of those properties; and if they do not manage to take over the loans and take control of the property, then who has control of the property? The person that owned it at the time the settlement agreement was approved, right?

This is one of the many, many flaws that have taken place under POA management, however, the property owners were still expected to pay a full assessment and just take whatever crumbs the board would throw at them. No water, no bathhouses, pay extra for electricity and be treated like a second class citizen.

The very fact that there is no meeting and no communication is the worst part.

Now think about this. Since the settlement agreement was approved as a single document, and since most of it has not been complied with for the most part, did the board even have the right to bill for assessments and collect them. There is nothing in it that states that any item may be enforced independently of the rest of it. All or nothing, if you know what I mean.
