What the latest on the park? Has the EPA still got it closed and is it still going to be sold.

Last I heard EPA still has it closed and gave the park manager a date to comply. The manager is to have the particulurs done by then. Being sold? No not yet still alot of legalities until that point. It may take years and years to get that straightened out.

Riverbend park is located on Bluff Road. About 2 miles off the main hiway. As soon as you cross the RR tracks, you would turn into the gate.

The EPA has stopped moaning now, all violations have been corrected and the manager has gotten all the required permits to run the bathhouses, dumping station and health department approval to open the pool.

The park is closed for the winter now but will reopen on March 15. We love the park and kids on 4 wheelers and we hope to have more activities for them this year.

Hello Don and Renee. There are a few more facts that should be shared about Riverbend RV Park.
The Bank Of Salem, Salem, Arkansas has filed foreclosure preceedings against Biggers Bluff Corporation that affects Riverbend Park.
Some Riverbend Property Owners have petitioned the court for Declatory Judgement.
It is a nice RV Park. Riverbend legal issues will be resolved in the future.

I only know that he bought property that got foreclosed on inside riverbend park back in november or december 2007 -- don't know whether or not he picked up any at the tax sales.

Flood stage is 10 feet -- river is currently at 21+ feet- anything not up on the hill is under water -- they say this is worse than 2006. I'll be in touch.

Water levels got to 22.29 at 7:30 this morning and was at 22.00 at 8:11 this morning. True, unless you are up on a hill you will have damage for sure. It's bad but the manager is determined to clean it up and get it going again. We have a lot of work to do but we aren't strangers to it so all will be ok in the end.

No life or limb lost so we are blessed.

We bought out property in late summer 2003 & had the "20 year flood" in November 2003 that wiped us out. We finally had everything put back together when another "20 year flood" hit in September 2006. Wiped us out again. We didn't have everything back together yet but have made another BIG investment in the property and now the third "20 year flood" has hit again in less than a 5 year period. I'm not sure but I don't think we'll put any more money into it. We love Spring River but so far, she's played us for a fool.

Unless we have a new manager, with a pocket full of money and rescoures, our ships are sunk for the 3rd time. you say that we are going to clean up? do we have electric, water, and bath house facilities? I paid my assesments for all that. we will see. why do you ,do all the talking for that mangaer, it might catch up with you. i wouldn't make any promises on his behalf.
