I can't believe there are no comments on the Tru TV show that aired tonight. Filmed at Spring River last Labor Day Weekend. I have been going to the river for years and always had fun up there. I think the people who are now trying to make it look like a dirty, drug-filled, un-family friendly place are very wrong. Yes, there are boob flashers and lookers, there are occasional pot smokers, and over-drinkers, but overall it's a nice place to go. Just avoid the Labor Day, July 4th and Memorial day crowds and you should be just fine taking your kids up there for a good time. If you want to party and be wild, go for it, as long as you aren't hurting anyone, or littering I see no problem with it. I think the Game and Fish Department did a good and professional job with enforcing the laws and should be congratulated. I think the national exposure on this show will do nothing but generate MORE and wilder crowds this summer, but should be good for the local economy. Which needs all the help it can get. I just wish I owned a beer store right in the middle of Many Islands campground and I could get RICH in one month. Comments on the show anybody????

I thought the film itself was good. However I had some concerns about the law enforcement. Can u tell me why the first guy went to jail for misdameanor possession of marijuana BUT the girls with pills were charged with felonies and they did not go to jail or even post bond? Something wrong there. Found it interesting that the same girl that got caught with pills was dumb enough to get caught flashing.

if you notice the problem comes from Ms. & Tn. BUT you have to also think where is the LAW? This is not a big city heck it aint a big county we need BETTER cops with more hours more tickets NO TOLERANCE!

First off do not believe everything you see and hear on a edited tv show..second there is no way she was charged with a felony and released...they just said they were charging her with that and the producers edited out the part where they told her she caught a break and was in turn cited and released..the other reason she was let go was Fulton CO jail is so backwoods and trashy they cant even house a female prisoner...Not the Cops fault..Its the counties fault..Also was it me or did they show every nappy chick on the river???

I think it was a terrible advertisement for Spring River and the area. I think it will only made things worse. Did you notice that only Many Islands was targeted? How many canoe rental businesses are there who would have had canoes and rafts on the river at the same time? Yet only Many Islands??? Also, wouldn't Many Islands have had to approve the filming on thier campground before it could take place for a pogram like this? If so, what did they hope to gain from this? Its too bad young people can't have a good time without drinking, drugs, and the rest of the bad behaviour.

I am sure that Many Islands DID allow the production crew to film at the campground. I assume they did it for the free advertising.
I would never camp there anyway, I like the Spring River Oaks campground much better.

Spring River Oaks is a good place to go on any holiday weekend with kids. If you are looking for boobs, parties and sex you will find it by stopping at saddler falls or camping at Many Islands. Spring River Oaks will not put up with that kind of garbage but Many Islands encourages those kinds of people. Law Enforcement should be stopping the behavior on the banks before harrassing the people floating the river. The boozers, druggers and the naked people are on the shore encouraging the floaters to show their boobs. Just wish the program would have shown more "FUN" you will have by visiting the Spring River instead of all the bad ones that come from other states.

All one has to do is look at who FREQUENTS these kind of places to see that they go there for that kind of entertainment. Every Memorial Day weekend certain 'families' have their reunion at Saddler Falls. Some of them make sure to camp on the end so that they can watch all the smut that floats by. What a terrible environment to allow your kids in, especially when most of these folks claim to be 'good Christians'.

I have stopped all trips to the Hardy/river area. To much trash and no law enforcement. Not a family friendly atmosphere. In the long run Hardy and the river will loose out. Where people who use to want to buy houses in the area for a weekend retreat, through the whole year will stop buying in the area. They may get their money in the summer on those holidays, but they will loose out for the rest of the year where most families would still visit the entire year. The county judge needs to be called on the carpet to handle this situation, before long term damage gets put in place.

In the show one of the girls who got a ticket for flashing stated the DJ told her to do it....why didn't we hear a DJ? Girls were dancing on the shore....why didn't we hear music? Is it really just the people who camp at the campgrounds that are behaving badly? Could it be the property owners at Saddler Falls?
