I appreciate your defense of the soil. I do not wish to claim the river, just enjoy it. As far as the rest of it, whoever accused me of thinking I am the almighty ought to take a look at your post.

This phrase "new people" could be misconstrued as "n00b" and I am just entertaining the thought that someone is calling me a n00b.

So, if given the timeline on when one has exceeded the "new people" status, I will promptly go see when I made my first post here.

It seems they are talking about BORN local to the area. I guess a majority of the population is then foreign because the fact is the area for years has been a retirement community. Those locals....lifers...for some reason seem to dislike others that were not born local.

The "locals" don't think the newbies or transplants should have in say so in their new home. That is so small minded it makes me laugh. We live in a mobile world, and the vast, vast majority of folks are from elsewhere. But, if they have been blessed to find Hardy or the immediate area a plade to relocate to and call home. Then why are they not as worthy???
