A group of Gullah descendants scored a victory Friday as Daufuskie Island community support coalesced around starting a park in an area named after a beloved educational leader.

I think thats great news and well deserved !! Daufuskie Island is rich in history and seems to be overlooked.Its a beautiful Island, with wonderful people and is full of great American history.The Gullah descendants should be proud of their accomplishment.
