House fire

I was driving back to Virginia last week on Route 13 south, when I saw a house right off the road that was burned down. Then what I sw next made me sick to my stomach. There was a wooden sign posted up that said "KKK Brun out" (supposed to spell burn out i take it). I can only tell from the other signs that this house was some kind of produce market. There was a sign that said FDA Approved since 1985. Well I went online and of course can't find anything about that house fire. I was wondering if anyone knows the true story or where I can find it online. I believe it was about an hour and a half from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I want to say Exmore, Virginia but I could be wrong. Thanks

We saw it this weekend...someone said they saw an article in a newspaper up in Exmore not sure, I've tried to find it too.

Funny, i actually have a picture of myself by the exact same location, it has to be the scariest thing ive ever seen.

We saw it driving home from NC today. It is just horrendous. If anyone finds out the story, let me know. I read an article that said it doubted there was KKK activity in that area. Still, it was eerie.

We saw this driving up to Wilmington and back this past weekend and were equally horrified. I called the local sheriff's office and they weren't much help beyond that the fire occurred "several months ago" and "We're aware of the signs." I called the Eastern Shore News and talked to a reporter who was aware of the site and said I was the second person who'd called about it recently. She said the building was an auto repair shop that also featured a sort of farmer's market (cams and cauliflower!) that was owned by a "real character" who is African-American. She didn't have much more insight into it other than opining that it is entirely possible, given this guy's personality, that he drew the sign himself for some unknown reason. She said she wasn't aware of any significant KKK activity in the area but that they'd "had a couple of swastika incidents." My dad took a pic of this on his way to visit me in NC. He said while he was taking a pics a black man came outside. It looks to me like it is not a statement from the KKK but about or to the KKK. Just my opinion.

I saw the sign the other day and couldn't figure it out either, it seemed as if it were either statement that the kkk is still alive or that they "burned out" after the obama election,

I've been looking at that sign for what I believe to be the last year at the very least. I haven't found out anything about it either but would love to.

passed through wednesday, july 8th, was totally surprised to see this large plywoood sign out front indicating kkk activity, what happened? is there a news article explaining what happened?

Maybe we are reading the sign wrong.... maybe it says KKK B"e" Run Out. Like the KKK were made to leave..... just an idea.

Just came back from OBX saw the KKK sign in Virginia, both coming and going. Really curious as to what this sign means. However, the fact that it has not made any type of local news is kind of werid. Not sure why the residence of this area of Virginia have not made any attempts to either remove the sign or have an investigation as to why this sign was put up there in the first place. If anyone has any articles please post so that we can read.

Just drove past it a few hours ago....(Aug 1st)
If this happened weeks ago, I'm wondering why it's still up.
The reporter's comment led my husband (who is a police Sergeant in another state and knows nothing about the case) to speculate that it might have been a case of arson committed by the business owner. He could have staged this for insurance purposes. Either way, it's just sad.
